Bergara 22 Creedmoor Opinions

Looking for a lightweight 22 Creedmoor. Anyone have experience with the Carbon Crest with the carbon barrel or with the Cima CF? I have never owned or shot a Bergara. The weights are in the range I want and the price is in the range I want to spend.

Every Bergara I’ve had has been a lemon. And they have a malfunction prone design. And carbon barrels tend not to save the weight you imagine. And they limit suppressor options, making them longer than they need to be.

I’d get a Tikka with 22 creed barrel. LS Wild sells them fairly. They’re available elsewhere.

Even a Ruger American Gen 2 or Weatherby in 22 Creed is going to be a better choice than Bergara IMO.

I have a Weatherby Alpine CT in 7 BC. It shoots great. They offer it in 22 Creed with an 18” barrel. I was looking for a 20” or 22”. I talked to Horizon about barrel length. That’s why I wanted 20” or 22” instead of 18”. I could live with an 18” so the CT is also on my list. I know this website should be renamed as the Tikka Forums, but I had a bad Tikka. Customer service was nonexistent. Multiple emails and calls over months with no reply. That was about five years ago. After that, I won’t be buying a Tikka any time soon.
