Sauer 100 Experiences?

101 threaded, 100 press fit I believe. My Mauser M12 is press fit and is a hammer.

So much misinformation on the Sauer 100s. I told Blaser Group (parent company) they could sell more of these rifles in the US if they actually spent some time trying to clear up the misinformation about their rifles on the internet.

I also have an M12 in 308 (probably made in same factory as Sauer)...very nice rifle that I need to get into the field to wring out.

at current prices, it would take at least 10k$ in ammo to go through a barrel, mine is threaded for sure, but not sure why it would be considered disposable. I can not afford to shoot enough, not sure who can other than FORM.

It appears they also offer a couple now with AG composite stocks. Those only have 4 chamber offerings though. I really like the looks of their 404 models. I wish I had the money for one

I’m starting to be enticed by those new Fieldshoot models, specifically the KRG. I like how the mag button is tucked on the side.

A couple questions for anyone that knows:
1. Does the barrel tenon share dimensions with any other action (Sako/Mauser/Tikka)?
2. Does the 3 position safety block the firing pin or lift it out of the way a la Model 70?

Is the "stainless cerakote" model actually stainless underneath? I don't see a stainless finish model - and I'm not a cerakote fan...

The Sauer 100 has caught my eye for my next rifle. seems like it comes with a lot of features for the price point. everything i've read online seems to be good, but curious if any has any first hand experience. thanks
I am happy to report on my pair of FieldShoot rifles.
And I had a couple more SAUER 100’s before this pair, and they were shooters.
The wood stock rifle is a 6.5 Creedmoor and it is a very heavy bench rifle. I like the trigger. I will be taking it to Barbour Creek with me in September. I don’t have anyplace here in Florida to surety it out. A photo here is 5 shot group off a bag, shooting ELD-X’s . I did not have a Chrono. Sub MOA , cold unfired barrel. Almost unbelievable.
The black composite stock FieldShoot is a 6.5 PRC. I might hunt this. It’s only a little too heavy, but don’t need a gun bearer.
Interesting to me that SAUER states on their web site that for most accurate results shoot quality factory ammunition.
These are distributed by Blaser out of Texas as a premium quality entry level product selling with their Blaser line.I don’t know about that, and maybe they are down playing the SAUER to upsell their Blaser line. But I did notice right off that the trigger seems great and the bolt throw is the best I have ever experienced.
I think these are a serious bargain .

They are nice rifles. I posted on this thread years ago and the Sauer 100 is still my favorite hunting rifle. Factory stock is actually not really a a downside, but they lack any good aftermarket options. I haven’t had to rebarrel mine yet but will be interesting to see what that’s about. Barrels are threaded to reciever but loctited and use the breech ring….will need to find a gunsmith willing to take that on, and it’s not plug and play like a tikka. That said, the Sauer 100 in terms of feel and quality is what a stock tikka should be. Metal parts, flush mag, better stock. The current europtic deals have me thinking about picking up another one.
