Hi everyone,
Looking for an all-weather rifle, and the Sauer 100 sale at eurooptic really caught my eye.
Trying to decide between the blued finish and factory Ceratech.
In my research I found a few complaints from 5-6 years ago about the Ceratech finish coming off or rusting on the Sauer 100.
Does anyone have experience with the Ceratech models? Perhaps Sauer improved the finish in recent years?
Or should I just get the blued version and cerakote it if I run into issues down the road?
Use case is deer hunting in the Northeast. Some rain and snow but nothing extreme. All my current deer rifles are 60+ years old and have wood stocks so when there's any precipitation I'm pretty much out of action.
