James, the first year you hunted in Alaska you were a little heavier than now, I think. But, years later when Aron and I were hangin out, he showed me some photos from a hunt you and he did that year...I had to ask him who you were because I didn't recognize you.
That said, I've seen how big boys lose weight and then sling shot from skinny to fatter in no time flat.
Your challenge won't be to lose the weight, but to keep it off.
Without knowing Ryan per se, I don't know his bounce records, but the challenge will be for of you: a lifestyle change, not just portion control.
Remember to think of your fat as a body of cells that don't go away when you lose weight. The cells shrink as you lose weight, but never go away. Remember that when your stuffing your fat faces with beer after beer and chase it down with a greezy hamburger, you fat bastards.
Lifestyle change means routines with exercise, daily calorie control, and healthy food choices.
Reality check: you have about 5 weeks to drop the weight, which ain't gonna be easy. You may lose about 5-lbs a week at first, but you'll have to cut your calories in half, literally. The trick will be to keep it off and refrain from binge eating after 6 weeks.
The safest way to lose weight and keep it off will be to eat lots of green veggies for bulk free foods to make you feel fuller, and drink a gallon or more of water each day. if you need to snack, eat several fruits each day high in fiber (pears, apples, dates, prunes). You'll have to start with 1500-1800 cals max each day. You won't lose much at first, but trust the plan and sweat the rest off. lay off booze for 6 weeks to stray from heavy cals.
little to no starches like potatoes and rice (eat quinoa and sweet potatoes). Cram veggies without ranch dip, eat lots of fruit and meat, drink lots of water. No sodas or red bull.
All that to say this: I don't think the real contest is how much you will lose in 6 weeks, but how much you keep off the rest of the year.
That's what I want to bet on, just sayin'
later bros, good luck.
