Good luck to both of you. I am going to go with James. He gave me some good advice last year that helped me lose 33 lbs, so he has my support.

Good luck buddy. If you need any encouragement, just let me know. After losing 33 lbs last year, I have 35 lbs to lose by September. I am starting Monday.

160ish on the right.

It's not easy keeping it off, especially in the winter. I've changed my eating habits for the better, but I still love beer.

Hey Ryan, if you shave those gorilla leg hairs you'll lose 10-lbs instantly! LOL

Hey guys, one other lifestyle habit to mention is once you get to your ideal weight, make that your baseline desired "mandatory" standard. Weigh yourself daily, literally. If you see you've added more than 1 or 1.5 lbs, do something about it that day and strive to avoid seeing more than a 2-lb change in your weigh in.

If you're disciplined about this tactic, you'll be conscious of your target weight and helps you stay focused and determined.

I'm 42 y/o and have stayed focused on my target weight for 18 years now, never above 2-lbs over my target. It gets easier to stay in that target range the longer you stay disciplined on weigh ins. Your body will find a new balance and you'll find then you'll be able to enjoy certain treats you're having to cut out completely right now.

Good luck, I an't wait to follow you guys. Awesome thread.

Becca, that's messed up you posted Luke's old weight but not yours....WTF Let's see it, girlfriend!!!

Everything Larry mentioned above is true. To make weight loss a true lifestyle change you have to figure out a new normal.

And Larry, Luke put me up to posting the photo. We are still looking for one of me pre 2006....at my heaviest I weighed 160 lbs, (my current weight is 135). I think those pics are on a back up drive somewhere. In the interest of fairness, I will post this one from 2007, I think I weighed around 150.
