T1x compatibility was brought up early (back on page 3-4), but I haven't seen any comments since (could have missed it).

Will relief cuts on the T3x Rokstock allow folks to swap in a T1x? Or should we expect to do a little filing for fit?

I have a T3x now, haven't looked under the hood on a T1x yet, but am thinking of swapping out my 10/22 and using the T1x as a copy of my big game rifle.

I talked to stockys a few weeks ago regarding the acublock bedding system. One thing worth noting in our conversation was that they told me they tested the acublock against the traditional aluminum pillars and the results were impressive. They said they were able to crush the aluminum with 1 ton of pressure while they reached the maximum force they could of 8 tons on the acublock without any damage.. for anyone worried about the crush strength on the acublock I wouldn’t be. They also said that since they have moved to Florida they have taken advantage of the the marine industry which is how they were able to come up with the with material that makes the acublock. I also asked them what the performance of the bedding system was when it comes to the recoil lug and if it will deform over time and they said that they have not seen an issue. They also told me that though it’s not recommended, a gentleman put a 375 sheytac in an acublock and the first 100 rounds did not have any affect on it.

Stockys, correct me if I am wrong on any of this

It is nice to see that they are trying to find the breaking point of their system. Not finding the breaking point at 800% over the previous common practice is icing on the cake.

What will the bottom inlet be on the rem 700? Will stockys 1" recoil pad be compatible?

I think Form mentioned it in regards to the bedding, but the action type, specifically the recoil lug implementation, plays a big part in bedding. This is discussing the rearward/forward movement of the action in the stock - not giving any consideration to the compression of stock materials mentioned earlier or the geometry of the action.

With a design that uses an external recoil lug, bedding it tight to the back of the lug helps reduce rearward/forward movement and strain on the action screws. IMHO, any external lug action should at least have the rear of the recoil lug bedded.

With a design that uses an internal lug recess, like Tikka or Seekins Element, the need for bedding to minimize rearward/forward movement is minimized by the way the action is pulled down into the lug attached to the stock.

Color me curious here as well, asking for a friend... CTR bottom metal inlet at this stage in game or is that a future proposition? I'm in either way, just adding up the parts and pieces in my head.

Only standard T3X DBM for now. UM is also developing our own Tikka DBM and Mag with maximizing COAL at the top of the priority list.
