RokStok

It'd be nice to see Roksliders not price gouge their fellow community members. I bought 2 of the SWFA 3-9 a couple years ago. I sold both of them here for retail, including shipping. It just doesn't feel good to make a profit on items like that. But to each their own.
I don’t disagree and I’m not advocating price gouging or taking advantage of others.

My point was simply that historically people got banned or threats of being banned for questioning prices. And now we are threatening banning because of prices Simply because it’s a rokstock. Seems like some consistency would be nice.

I used SWFA as an example but there are a ton of items on here that get sold well over what they cost new.

If we’re going to start price fixing can we also take a look at Fieldcraft while we’re at it? Cause I’d love one of those but they’re going for $500+ over what they were new as well

Same reason primers are 10 cents each now.

Free market… but shooters are just kicking other shooters in the balls with the grab and sell.

I would have bought one to use. I wasn’t fast enough.
I have no issue with the free market. The only issue I have is that everyone on Rokslide knows that there's lots of people waiting to get their hands on their first Rokstok. And they were dropped right in the middle of hunting season. I'm not sure I'd ban the guy, but he is certainly going on my "no dealings" list.

Gotta say, using the term "gouging" for what is essentially a luxury item is kinda goofy guys. Time is an element of pricing. If you need(or think you need) something RIGHT NOW, then you're gonna pay a premium. And now you can't, because the attempted seller was punished for being offensive. I recall seeing in this very thread that people were saying they'd be willing to pay $XX over retail if they could have a rokstok sooner.

Not trying to detail the thread here.

Folks have been trying to sell $300 scopes for $600 because of supply and demand.

Buying a RokStok to flip it is a lame move, but if I can’t make fun of people for asking astronomical prices I don’t know that it’s right to ban a clown who’s trying to make an easy buck.

I’d never buy from them out of principle.

No reason to out em.
huh? If he has done nothing wrong and now is banned, why not "out" him? I personally do not want to have dealings with someone that thinks that is ok. I won't discourage others, but I would like to know for me. Guess I will have to do my own digging....

This is my line of thinking too. The dude is a dick, but are we really policing the profit percentage people can make on a sale?

I guess i dont even understand why people think the member is a dick. I hab responded to a WTB post that a member was looking for a Rokstok. I was not really interested in selling mine, but for enough money i will sell just about anything. I offered to sell the member mine for a lot more than i paid for it. That member passed on my offer and i still own it. I dont feel as if i was a dick for offering to sell mine for much more than i paid for it. It is something that i didnt really want to sell and something that was in high demand.

First day order showed up yesterday. Left handed. I switched to the black camo rather than the green they were having trouble with. Looks good overall. Droppped an action in just to check fit and looked good there also. Does weigh 33.5 ounces.
