I'm all for free market dynamics, but will say that selling the rokstok with a markup in its own home with the home owner there watching takes a certain kind of thinker. Marking up other non-rok* gear not quite comparable imo.

Back on topic, got mine a few weeks back but just mounted this week and got leather patch in yesterday. Will share pics tomorrow and hopefully shoot in the next two weeks. PUMPED.

Is that something that would really require hiking out for? My thought is I’d be shooting without a pad if I was in the backcountry. Or tape it on. But I shoot a 6.5 and not a hard recoiling magnum.

I’m sure I could have managed something but we were planning on staying in for a week and the noise was as much of a factor as anything. Where we were hunting shots are either going to be under 30 or 400 plus so I wanted quiet and shooting long distance positionally without a butt pad doesn’t make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Luckily I got her tightened up and we were able to tag out so it’s all good!

Probably a good deterrent against theft too! Apparently you can only say that for all you care your cerakote guy can paint it pink and draw dicks on it so many times before it becomes a thing lol. as long as it shoots I’m happy!
