Make It 3 for 3 in the Whitetail Woods with SWFA Fixed 6.

First two ended up being a nice buck/doe double kill, with both deer coming into a 30 acre field at 225 yards. Shots were less than 10 seconds apart. Got another one down this morning stalking the woods. 30 yard shot free hand, she ran 50 yards, leaned up against a tree. Went another 20 yards...

I missed a coyote at 400 yards and then again at 440 with a follow up shot. Rest was stable with for-end on side by side bottom windshield support but I had it tight into the “a pillar” as well. Basically sticking the stock into a metal corner tightly.

Checked zero after the misses and no problems from prone position. Checked zero using that rest side by side rest position and it was off by .2ish MIL. Never figured out what the issue was but I’m assuming stock/barrel contact.

No. It’s a reference from a few other threads that show massive gaps in stocks. I think one had a fur ball of some sorts hanging out and the group joked it was a dead cat. Some got it.

Ok, I prefer proper clearance. A 3b barrel fits well in a stock inletted for a 3b, a lightweight sporter in a proof countour looks like shit in my opinion
