Rokslide shed contest?

Not sure if I will walk up there this year again, but if I do and I find it, it's yours. He's a great buck and I have some photos of him on the hoof as well. He took a while to shed that is for sure...

We saw 11 bucks on the 26th still packing both sides in that area, might be worth it to try again before long...

Jason, this countries highest peaks are in 6200-6700 feet range...some years the snow brings them down to the valley which is 2800 ft, but more often like this year with average snow and an earlier melt they are closer to 4700-5400 feet, so it makes a long day climbing, get there and then start shed hunting...in years like this it is many miles to pick them up and eat all you can as the pounds just slip away........

Good luck Casey! The things we do to pursue our passions and antlers...it is 3:27 am and heading out for a day of fun midweek..........for another round:)

You guys are killing me! I can't go out till my Kifaru comes in. I sold my old pack so I'm just waiting, a couple more weeks hopefully

If alls I owned were tennis shoes and a g-string.... I'd still be out there every day I could. LOL

Elk are starting to drop around here but really only the heavy horns. I'd say about 75% of bulls are still packing. Found a few so far...

Another two days of hiking the hills. About 6-6.5 miles total. 2 blacktail sheds. Small Rt side 3 point and a older LT side 3 point. Still nothing big YET.

I have to concur with R Miller. Ross hangs out with a different kind of GUY. Bears will be bears I suppose.
