Rokslide shed contest?

1st day out...have a spot in Nwest Montana that Magnum and I found several years back...a bitch to get into, he has been sleeping for 16 hrs straight since we got back to the rig, but it always holds a muley antler or two...A beautiful day to not be inside and fresh blood this time of year is a tell tale sign of fresh drops!

One month unti the wapiti's start dropping...needed something to break up the winter monotony, so nothing like some friends gathering in NIdaho for an overnighter with plenty of ammo :)

Ross, that is some steep/nasty winter range! Is that where the bucks winter? No wonder he's still sleeping.

In this section of the country the home range for hunting season, is the wintering range Robby, that is why it is so difficult to find sheds......it isnt for the sane on many days:)

Man I'm jealous of you guys shed hunting already! I can't go out around home until after May 1. I'll get a couple of trips in during April to somewhere.

There isn't a canyon here in Chelan county WA that doesn't have boot prints in it seems like... might go try to find some elk sheds in a week or three. Never backpacked for sheds and want to give my new shelter a try!

found these in my drive way around the first of the year on my way out coyote hunting. they were like 30 yards from my wood pile. do win anything for easiest match set?

Yea boot tracks every where I want to go too. Funny thing is all the deer I keep seeing are still holding but that will change quick. I'm usually happy if I can find one set.I might need to read up on theRoss tips again

This will be my first season to hunt elk sheds. I sure don't expect to win anything, but I'm goin lookin!

How bad do I want those sheds, pretty darn bad to do this twice a year:) For anyone with some types/forms of knee issues this can be a short term solution to help lubricate the knee....it is called Synvisc and lasts anywhere from 3-9 months per 1 injection...I get it done on both knees 3 weeks before elk season and 1 knee before shed season........it helps alleviate some of the pain that comes from downhill pounding in the mountains and long days out chasing elk and antlers. Makes my knees feel 15 yrs younger even if for only a few months:) It sucks getting old, but science can be good sometimes!
