I will not be able to make on July 13th thats my daughter 21st birthday. That should be the only weekend I can't make it. I will be getting some maps out and getting some place picked out and ya'll can give some imput.

Mike, I will carry the spotter and the gun,

My Kifaru Bikini Frame will be here this weekend so people can test the Deplux Frame and the Bikini Frame on the hikes.

I'm open any time in July, except the 6th and 7th. I was planning on bringing my spotter too. Now, where are we going?

Ok a few places to think about, North of Newport, Washington Bead Lake and Mystic Lake. Outside of Wenatchee, Washington up the Entiat River there is a place called Silver Falls, Outside of Leavenworth, Washington there is a place called Chiwaukum lake. Open for other suggestions

Good thing about a get together with guys on this thread is the amount of cool gear we get to bring!!! I'm getting stoked!

Nothing planned yet. If anybody wants to carry my spotter I'll pack one of my rifles and some ammo if the location is conducive to shooting rocks at distance! Probably up my pack weight by 20 lbs though (ammo isn't light!)

Ha well that's the truth! Might have something else special to bring at that time but right now it'll be the new 300 Norma. Should be right at 11 lbs all done up but unloaded. A lot better than the 13 lb 280 AI!

And we should make a list of gear we're bringing so we can pick and choose optics so we aren't bringing 2 of everything!

I'd be interested in this though I'd have to bring a tag along (4yr old). I have a heavy long shooter ,13lb rbros 7mag, and for optics I have the Ziess 85 with the 75x zoom eyepiece as well as the minix md50

My vote is for the entiat area or leavenworth

There are all kinds of places in the ALW we can go, either from the Wenatchee/Leavenworth side, or from the CleElum side.

A lot of the trails in the immediate Leavenworth area require a permit and they charge you like 10$ a day per person

True, but there are places that don't as well. Seems like some of the GPW areas are more lenient with that kind of stuff. Could also hit up the North Fork of the Entiat.

For a location, how about Spider Meadows in the GPW? It's a very very popular spot for people on the high hunt so I don't think we should be encroaching on anybody's honey hole... I know there's a place or two I wouldn't mind going, but I'm not going to bring a bunch of others into areas I think I might be hunting. No offense guys, you know I love ya...
