I wouldn't mind tagging along if there's room but I won't be able to go 7/13 as I'll be back up on Adams that weekend.

Only problem with spider is all the tree Huggers you'll be camped next to. You might as well camp next to the road. I might be able to make the twentieth I've been offline lately but am interested.

I would be good for about any weekend in July, I could probably make most in June also. I think the central area is a good idea, ALW would be cool (fishing!!), Spider meadows is a cool place, but its kinda like I-5 in front of REI on the weekends.
I have a Swaro 80mm spotter I could bring if anyone wants to look thru it.

I would rather not go to spider meadows. Like others have said, it will be really busy.
Hiking to a lake would be cool so we could fish also.

What about Heather Lake or Glasses Lake? Anyone ever been there? Just did a quick search on WTA.org and am throwing out some ideas.

Those sound good, ideally the location would have some fishing available as well as not too many people if firepower will be brought and used.

I am good with any of the spots. Just have to see what works for everyone else.

Larch would be good.

Another option would be Chain lakes... 47* 41.479' N 1.21* 1.283' W are the coordinates. Looks to be about a 6-6.5 mile hike to the bottom chain lake with the last 2 miles having 2K' elevation gain. I've never been in there, but there's fish in the Chain lakes. I can always bring a suppressor to shoot on a rifle to try and mitigate the atomic boom of a big magnum with a muzzle brake, also would help to not piss off any granolas nearby.

Them last 2 miles wouldn't be easy that's for sure! :) Up to that point is actually downhill or flat for most the way as we'd park at a high elevation next to the PCT and then hike past Lake Susan Jane, then to Josephine Lake then down to the Icicle Creek Trail then climb our asses up to the Chain Lakes.

I've been to larch before. The thing I don't like is hiking past all the dirt bikes on the first part of the trail. The Heather lake hike sounds kinda cool.

Mike,
It sounds like you're trying to kill me! If we do a hike like that I'll have to leave the refreshments in the truck!

I also don't give a crap about the meadow muffins. If they don't like us shooting, they can head back to Seattle.
