Schafer would be a good spot plus it's not likely to really be anyones honey hole spot. It should melt out a little earlier since it is quite a distance from the crest .

I'm down with Schaefer! And as far as refreshments go, if it ain't at least 80 proof it ain't going.

We could do it as a team building experience... couple downed trees and 20' of p-chord and we have to overcome the river... lol

In all honesty there's a downed tree we can cross

I should be good with that. Schaefer isn't a walk in the park hike though either, it's not extreme but it is consistently uphill pretty much the whole way.

I would think Sat morning. That works better for me anyway. Gotta work Friday and I am a few hrs from the trailhead.

I would probably go in friday afternoon and stay till sunday likely... I say we plan for saturday/sunday trip and those who can make it on friday as well do so. Besides, I don't want anybody making fun of my slow hiking!
