Revic BLR10b Rangefinding Binoculars

Only complaint with my Aziak adapter on my BLR10bs is that it hangs up on the "adjustment flap" of my Stone Glacier harness when pulling out. Like a tiger dong.

I am using the wiser precision ba-7 adapter on my revics. At first I didn't love it because it has a little bit of play being secured by straps vs metal or all polymer. Just has a little bit of shake if you bump your head against it but I have gotten used to it and like how flush and centered the mount hits. Fits in the bino harness well.

sarcastically and semi-seriously - do you have the orange adapter? seems like something small and expensive (for what it is) that i wouldn't want to lose.
Did you even need to ask? Haha.

It lives in my “glassing accessories” pouch or most often in the front zip pouch of my bino harness.

I have the Outdoorsmans Micro pan head permanently bonded to my tripod as I almost never bring a spotter, and that tripod/head are excellent for both my Revic 10s and Swaro 14s or my old Meopta 15s.

With the pan head always on the tripod, and tripod strapped to outside of pack, 10s in bino harness and 14s in a padded case inside my outside quick access Sherman pocket on pack; I can have either the 10s or the 14s out and on the tripod whether standing or seated and be glassing with 35-45 seconds average.

This is timed with stop watch from pack on and everything put away, to first sight picture with binos.

@mxgsfmdpx thanks for sharing. looks like a solid system. i'm still in the paralysis by analysis phase for getting a tripod. mostly due to my lack of experience hunting with one and glassing from.

Yeah man there are a TON of options and different variables to consider for sure. For me, I am very minimalist and speed oriented, however, I do not shoot from tripods, and all day sits in the same spot are saved for VERY few hunts and very few scouting trips for me.

If you’re an ambush style hunter and plan to sit in the same spot all day and shoot from a more stable tripod, my setup would likely not be ideal. I do have a different setup for my large spotter with a heavier duty Outdoorsmans tripod with full size pan head, but that gets used so infrequently it collects dust in my gun room.

I tested the firing solution in a competing Blaser 10x42 binocular. It has a similar size/formfactor to the Revic. Setup procedure should be the same and it appears that Revic adress most of the issues I have with these.

I'll look forward to hearing about the Gen IIs; differences/upgrades from the Gen Is.
Yeah same here. I won’t buy them this season because I won’t glass with them anyways, and original BLR10’s range and calculate ballistics like a MF already

The gen2’s laser is even better! They quick!
Sweet! Oh I’m sure I’ll get them next season. I know they’ll be great. The hunting budget is just flat maxed out this season lol. 9 tags in 6 states ain’t cheap brother 🤣🤣.

Having used the Gen 2s. This is where I’m at as well for 2025.
Okay good to hear. Thank you for easing my mind haha.

Nice! Good luck this year!

I was excited when I heard about the gen 2’s but after messing with a pair of them I definitely wouldn’t be in a rush to sell a pair of gen 1’s to fund them. (Currently using kilo 10k gen 2’s) Maybe it’s just me 🤷‍♂️

Do the 2s have a better aiming reticle? I’m not a fan of the big O in the 1s.

I didn’t “love” the big hollow O at first but after using it in the field nearly every day since I bought them in January, the function is excellent. Especially when used on targets in steep hunting terrain where it’s very easy to mis range an animal using a cross hair or dot style reticle like many ranging devices use.

The hollow O allows me to range the terrain directly below the animal, directly behind the animal, and the animal itself with a very clear image of what I’m actually ranging (it shows up in the hollow space and is large enough to identify what is actually being ranged).
