Running review of the as yet to be released Revic 10x42 RF Binos.

Prologue:

In January of 2023 I used a pair of the prototype Revic RF Binos for a few weeks, including an elk hunt with seven elk killed between 350 yards and 647 yards in temperatures between low teens and 45°. These prototypes exibited by far the best and most consistent ranging of any commercial unit I, or anyone I was with have seen. They ranged faster and farther than Vortex Fury 5000 AB’s, and way beyond Swarovski EL Range TA and Leica Geovid Pro’s could do. Consistent and on demand ranging to beyond 2,700 yards on dirt, grass, trees and rocks. Individual elk were ranged on demand past a mile in all weather conditions. Beyond that the return speed for ballistic data for the shot was extremely quick- sub 1 second.

Raining, Revic returned immediately-

The Geovid Pro 8x32’s struggled beyond 800 at the same time, but did get 1,142 yards

Unlike the Sig 10k these have usable glass for hunting. Like Form said, the laser is very strong with a quick solution. By far the best RF binos in this chassis.

How does this unit pull environmental and wind data? Does the Bluetooth connect to a Kestrel?

Debating this, the Leica Pro 10x42 or something similar for the upcoming year. That or I need a better standalone range finder and keep the SLCs

Environmental is onboard. Wind is entered manually. It does not link to a kestrel.

That depends on whether you truly require the absolute best resolution in your handheld binos. These production versions are way- way- better than Sig/Vortex/etc that share the same base housing. Very little to no color tint, brightness and clarity are very good, with just the difference in resolving the finest details noticeable between the Revic and Geovid Pro’s I have here.

Stand alone bino and RF suck. I would rather use bushnell Fusion RF binos than the best bino and RF unit made.

Would you still say that if you weren't carrying separate alpha 15s for tripod use? I.e. for those using only 10x42 for both handheld and tripod glassing, first/last light glassing, etc, you'd be okay with the pure optical performance of the Revic vs say a 10x42 SLC?
