$20k is nothing in an advertising budget. They paid very little to possibly promote to more people. There’s absolutely nothing shady about a company investing in selling their products. That’s just good business sense.I agree with Matt, I think it’s kind of shady that Sitka is sending people out on $20,000 elk hunts to try and recruit a different demographic. But if they called and wanted to sponsor me on some private land elk hunt I would sure as hell go.
I like the pieces of Sitka clothing that I have and I’m not gonna burn it like some crazy NFL fan. I have clothing pieces from just about everybody though, so there is no brand loyalty anyone
They also invest much more in conservation efforts and in discounts to vets and other military. Those dollars lost do nothing to advertise the product.
