Wyoming regs specify “expanding point bullet.” How have you seen this enforced?

I’d really like to use the my AR with 77gr TMK on pronghorn and maybe mule deer, but don’t want to get into any issues, especially being from out of state. My .300 Win Mag will be with me as another option, but I’m much more comfortable with my AR.

Do you not think that the tmk expands?

The rule is meant to prevent the use of non expanding solids or non expanding Full Metal Jacket bullets. The TMK expands so there is no issue with that particular bullet.

use anything but FMJ. Although I can’t remember a time where my ammunition was checked big game hunting. Or rifle for that matter. Could always be a thing I suppose.

Any ballistic tipped or hollow point bullet should suffice. But If your truly worried about it call the fish and game and ask them for the definition and tell them what your planning to use.
