Dad had this Marlin 30-30 as long as I can remember. Had it up at college one year, stripped it down and gave it some Tru Oil, gave it back to him during the holidays. A few years go by and he gave it to me at Christmas. One of my favorite guns, I’d love to get it out in the timber late season and take a whitetail with it!
My dad’s old Sako 270win, one my best friends restored rifle, built new stock, reblued and Leupold sent him a new scope there was maybe 50% of the blueing left on the scope and glass was not in great shape. This rifle has rode in between the truck seats for years the crown was worn at an angle from riding on the floorboard. This was project for my buddy in gunsmith school. Now my dad doesn’t want to use it because it looks so good.
Single shot 22 built in 1955 for my dad, 2 stocks for the growth stages. This 22 has been through every kid in the family as a starter, to count the grouse it’s taken would be impossible.
