Polis proclaims 3/20 “no meat” day in Colorado

I'm headed to the butcher shop to buy one helluva big beef steak for March 20th. Typically eat deer, antelope and elk but making sure its a beef day on the 20th. I would be certain this will backfire on them.

3/20/21 will definitely be a day that will backfire on Polis
So many counties and organizations are going to be cooking beef that day

March 20th - Saturday I shall cook rib-eye steaks in the smoker for 30 minutes or so using Hickory wood chips. I will get the steaks to 115 degrees. Once that temperature is reached they will immediately be put on the gas BBQ and seared at high heat for a minute or two on each side until the internal temperature reaches 135 degrees.

The steaks shall be served with twice baked potatoes - salad - & dinner rolls.

Go BEEF Go: I suspect that the Governor has a business email where the citizen's express concerns about different issues and topics to let their voice be heard. A picture is worth a thousand words - we've all heard that before. Just think if a few hundred of us take pictures of our steak on the grill and email it to the governor, that would be an awful lot of words letting him know just exactly how the people of not only his state but other states feel about this idea of his. Just think!

Its backfiring on him already...but makes me wonder if he has money invested
In beef? , because the days surrounding 3/20 are gonna consist of a lot of meat sold.

Get your meat and grilling supplies while they last, I think only 3-4% of the US. is Vegan Veg. last time I checked!

He's a genius if he has stock in some local cattle operations...haha

Not surprised so many people are getting butt hurt about this and missing the point. The problem with meat isn’t affluent folks eating an occasional streak.

There are TONS of people that eat at McDonalds every day. If you can’t see the profound impact on our climate and healthcare system this creates you are a fool, or just willfully ignorant.

Sounds like a self-control problem, not a meat problem.

But agree on health being the issue he's trying to get at. Disagree with the message that meat is bad. Remind me again how cattle are a thread to the climate? I skipped that day in 'Progressive 101'.

The CDC just did come out with a study that said something like 80% of covid hospitalizations were from people who were overweight or obese...turns out heart disease is the real culprit...and if you live a healthy life, you stand a far better chance of not being effected by disease and virus.

Not disagreeing with your point. But, isn't 75% of the population overweight or obese? So, the Covid hospitalizations are pretty close to being in line.

Well, if someone needs to be told that eating fast food and other crappy foods are bad for you, I'd say they're just as willfully ignorant. Got news for you, they already know and don't care.
