Pick my 7mm elk bullet

Too many choices that will all kill things.
I shoot a lot of Bergers, Partitions and SST's. With each rifle, I go with whichever bullet shoots the best from 100 to 600. (that's as far as my backyard range will allow) I've never had good all distance accuracy with ELD-Xs or Accubonds so those aren't my go to bullets.

Lots of good suggestions. I am a fan of the 160 partition or Accubond in any fast 7.
No elk experience, yet, and they don't meet your BC desire but the 150 NBT and 154 Interlock have been easy to get to shoot and myself, family and friends have been killing moose with them from 70ish out to 500 yards from 7mm-08's to STW's. They aren't my first choice but they've been consistent enough I fall back to them if I can't get my desired bullet to shoot.

I shoot the Berger 168 gr Classic Hunters out of my Tikka T3 7mm and they do well. Easy to find an accurate load.

Up close and far away, standard Accubonds just flat work. Partitions are great too if your gun likes them.

ABLR is not my choice for shots under 300 yards. A little too frangible for my liking at the distance most of my shots have been taken. I haven’t lost any animals but I have lost several hundred pounds of meat.

The 160gr Accubonds just flat work in a 7mm. Never had a reason to switch.

ABLR 168. DRT on two different bulls, 380 and 210 yds. Group sub MOA at 200 and have held together great. As mentioned before: in they shoot in your gun, stop right there unless you like messing with different bullets and loads. I like to hunt and practice with what I'm hunting with. Remember, the enemy of good is perfect.

I would go with the 143 hammer hunter. All my dedicated hunting rifles run hammers now. First tried them in 2017 with great results and accuracy. Somewhere around 5 elk and 5 deer with a few varieties. Loads developed in under 20 shots. You can’t go heavier than 143 with a 9 twist. That will tell you a little about the length of these considering a 195 Berger just starts to get marginal with a 9 twist.

A confession: I reload, but I'm not too ashamed to say that I got those results with Nosler "Trophy Grade Long Range" factory ammo. I've shot several sub 2 inch groups at 200 while sighting in or checking zero. I bought two boxes on sale to play with while I was breaking in the barrel. Bought two more when I saw how much the gun liked them. Even a blind hog finds an acorn sometimes. The nominal muzzle velocity is 2880, but I chrono'ed a tad higher than that in hot weather at sea level through a 26" barrel. The recipe is on Nosler's website.
