@*zap* , someone said basic firearm safety would have prevented this. You said that was incorrect.

Do you believe that if the shooter had utilized basic firearms safety, that the guide would still be alive?

Let me define basic firearm safety as…

1. Muzzle pointed in safe direction
2. Gun unloaded until ready to fire
3. Don’t rely on your guns safety
4. Don’t point a gun at something you don’t wish to destroy
Sure, if everyone practiced basic firearm safety most of these things would not happen.
But people do not do that.
So how is it applicable?

Now half a dozen people jumped me for saying something that is completely applicable which was that this can happen to anyone at anytime. Plus it was said that gun safety was the thing that would prevent this....but, alas we can not make everyone around us who possesses firearms practice gun safety...so it really is an irrelevant comment.
That is how I see it and I do not like being jumped for saying something that is accurate. Which I believe should be apparent by now.
Anyway, I appreciate your input. Thanks.

plus I carry two loaded guns daily...so do not agree with #2.

But the part you’re missing is the poster said “if basic firearm safety was followed this wouldn’t have happened”. You just admitted this is true. So why are you arguing with everyone?

Zap,
You are pushing a boulder uphill.

Your statement that you can control nothing and could die at anytime while accurate isnt germane to the conversation.

By that token you should never leave your house or interact with anyone.
Tha Germans got nuttin to do wit it!

Actually what was said was "Some very basic firearm safety absolutely prevents this from happening". Which is like saying if no one ever drank alcohol there would be no drunk drivers.
Yes if the reckless person was not reckless this probably would not have happened but that was not the point of what I said which was this can happen to anyone at anytime.

Exactly. Some very basic firearm safety absolutely prevents this from happening. If the guy didn’t point a loaded rifle at the guide and pull the trigger, then this wouldn’t have happened.

Wtf are we arguing about?

I am not arguing. Simply explaining why I am correct.

If you are going to accuse me of something I didn’t do at least spell correctly. I was more or less defending you. My mistake. Won’t happen again. We all now know what your are now too.

Its so hard to tell if you are trying to be funny and failing or if we have sailed over your head.

It was a joke.

you want to explain to me how saying that anyone can take a nd round anytime is incorrect.
That is what I am standing by. Is that hard for you to understand. Comprehension issues?
You are changing the goal post. But obviously you aren’t going to get it. When 10 people are telling you that you bumped your head, maybe there’s 1 fool and not 10.
