Belle, my nine year old lab, has hunted many an upland game bird in 5 western states. She has retrieved a few ducks too. She took it upon herself to start pointing at age 2. Nothing that I trained her to do. She picked it up hunting with pointing dogs. Best upland dog I have ever had. Plus, she is a loving family pup. MTG

I love the picture of your dog in wading with you. Were you fishing? Had a yellow lab years ago that would swim around me while I fished. My dogs have been a great deal of my hunting and every day life. As long as I live I will have have a four legged hunting companion. Probably a lab. My Belle is white in the muzzle now. She does have a couple good years left in her hunting life. We are growing older and we understand the comraderie of hunting together. Some days we harvest nothing. But, just getting to go and enjoy the day is probably the best part. MTG

That was fly fishing in the surf at Rincon in SoCal back in the early 2000's
The other was on a backpack trip in the Sierra.

Darn good company. Still driving that Samurai? Owned and built two Trackers. Like a dummy I sold the last one. Should be horse whipped for doing so. Great little back country rig. MTG

Love the old pics, freaking awesome! I don’t have any old hunting photos of my family but I know my kids will have mine and I hope they look at them with nostalgia. About the best time in life in my opinion is being out hunting and enjoying hunting camp with family and friends.

Im turning 59 july 4th. Im edging in on the 60 mark. These pictures remind me of my youth and all the hunting adventures i enjoyed.
Back then it was pure adrenaline to hunt and fish. Very little tech or info on where and how.
Today things seem easier. Better gear, tons of information on where and how right at our fingertips. Experience and patience are the game changer for me.
Thanks for all who post the pics. They really bring back the memories for me.
