Assuming weight and bulk aren't part of the decision, would you rather use one pair of NLs in either 10/12x in a day of hunting, or a pair of both 8x and 15x in Meostar glass?

Curious to see the collective Rokslide opinion on this one. I've seen threads comparing mediocre to "good" two bino vs one alpha option, but never two "alpha-minus" versus one alpha.

Meostars are great binos, you will be into both Meostars about $1800 so your another $800 just for the one pair of NL’s.

I loved my Meostars and love my 14NL’s. I’ll be selling my old binos and buying some EL8.5’s for up close stuff for my next purchase. IMO 10’s are too much for some of the shed hunting and think forest stuff I hunt and 12’s would be worse. 8’s on the chest and 15’s in the pack is a pretty awesome setup for a lot of hunting. I’ve packed 10’s, 15’s and a spotter on a bunch of hunts.

The Meostar is a very good scope. I was looking at scopes last night at Van's and compared the Leupold VX-6 , Swarovski z5 and Z6i and the Meopta and it's really hard to tell much difference . I've never been a Leupold guy but the 3-18x50 VX-6i is a pretty nice scope for the money . I've been buying Meoptas ever since the were introduced the the US market and have never had a problem with them , nothing else in the 1000.00 or less price will be as good in low light in my opinion . I also liked the Swarovski Z6i but it's a good bit more money than the Meopta.
