Constantly hitting right

Been out shooting the bow and noticed I am constantly hitting right by 1-2”. Seems to be worse the closer I am to a target. 20 yards would be 2”. 40-50 yards would be 1” or so. I moved my sight over and that didn’t help which leads me to believe it’s me or my shot process. Any input is appreciated. Could it be my draw length is too long by a smidge? Arrows are flying like missiles so I don’t think it’s a bow tune issue but more form issue.

Check the 1st, 2nd and 3rd axis of your sight. I'd put money on this being the issue
Still learning new things about this sport. I never set my 3rd axis and all my shots that were getting further from my aiming point were downhill angles. Thank you sir.

I agree with Bump79 Its probably an axis issue.

What sight do you have, and what pin configuration?

Have you paper tuned the bow? Could be an alignment problem also. If you don't have access to a local bow shop look up french tuning or walk back tuning.
I have paper tuned it but not in a while.
I recorded my arrow flight in slow motion and those things are flying great.

I also made my own paper tuned frame recently for my trad bow so I’ll take some shots through it just to confirm.

Black gold ascent verdict on a dovetail. I’ll try and do the 3rd axis tonight if the wind isn’t bad.

It is likely an axis issue, especially if shooting down hill. Check all 3 axis points. Also, slighty move your rest, not your sight if you move anything at all.

On the ascent verdict, you’ve got 3 different adjustments that could be your issue. It’s probably a combination of the 3.

First, you need to put your bow in a bow vise and confirm that the riser is level. Then you need to confirm that that your second axis (driver section of sight) is level. I’m betting that’s off.

The next thing you need to do is make sure the bubble in your housing is now reading level, with the bow still in the vise. That’s an easy adjustment on the ascent.

The last thing to do is set third axis. Easiest way to do that is to hang a plum line, draw your bow and frame your pins all the up and down the string. If your pins are matching the line, but your bubble is off, you need to adjust the 3rd axis accordingly.

You can PM and I’ll FaceTime you through all of it if you wish. Or you can search YouTube for video.

If your bow isn’t atleast paper tuned, I’d start there before anything else.

Got a plumb line set up last night and my 3rd axis was way off. Didn’t have a chance to shoot it due to the weather but I’ll see if I can these next couple of days. I’d assume the 3rd axis was the culprit
