NFA Approval after January 1

Certified my form today 1/20, will update when approved

My FFL said they are still receiving the approval notifications from atf and notifying buyers at that time. It's just the buyers who aren't receiving the atf notifications for some reason.

ETA: I just got the call from my FFL that's it approved. I did not receive anything directly from atf.

My form 4 was submitted 1/6 and got approved 1/16.
I did not get any notification from ATF and my dealer sent me email today letting me know it was approved.

This is why I won’t wait more than two weeks before contacting my dealer. Not that a few extra days is going to make or break anything for me, but I bought it so I want it.

yessir it is inconvenient relying on the dealer to notify you. I’m sure it’s inconvenient for them too. Mine is 45 minutes away and I was right up the road over the weekend. They didn’t tell me until today so now gotta make the drive back over there.

Well, 13 days for Silencer Shop to get my stuff ready to certify. Certified today, see how long the wait is from here.

That might have to do with your dealer approving the paperwork on their end so its ready to certify? It only took SS a couple days to have my trust ready to certify in the middle of your stated timeline.

Yes. My dealer forwarded the email he received from atf. PDF of the paperwork/stamp.

Maybe, but SS sent me the email, I signed, then was at the dealers 5 minutes later and certified.

My impression is while my SS profile says in review, and before SS sends me the paperwork for esign, it is on SS.

Perhaps because I'm not using a SS trust.

Or it could be the dealer as all three mufflers I've gotten through them took 2-3 week before SS had me sign.

I really don't know the details of how the process works.

As a user, SS prepares the paperwork for review / docusign, they can't proceed till you sign it, then they prepare it to ecertify. IF the dealer also has a docusign step (don't know for sure) then it would delay the timeline between when you signed and when it was ready to ecertify. Just speculation.
