Grizzly fatal attack at glacier and another attack at Yellowstone

I would just concealed carry the whole time with the 43x. Dont take my word for it, confirm with the law, but MT is a constitutional carry State. As is Wyoming and I concealed carry when im in Yellowstone.

From what I’ve found online you are correct about MT and WY.

I do think it’s very odd that you can legally carry concealed in Yellowstone but can’t legally discharge a firearm in Yellowstone.

Feds being feds I would assume.

Doesn't Park law override state law?

I thought it was legal to CC in all national parks. No?

(I guess people in Yosemite would freak)

Yellowstone is a shitshow, I’m surprised more people aren’t mauled by bears.

I was there about 10 years ago and some dork from Yemen or Latvia or some wierd place like that had to get med evaced because he thought he was supposed to use bear spray like bug spray. He saw a bear and hosed himself down with bear spray lol.

Might not be a bad technique
Unless you get a descendant of those Mexican Grizzlies with a fondness for hot sauce.

Going to glacier in August. Plan is to sight see and hike.
From what I understand you can rent bear spray, even from the airport?

Can you open carry in glacier?
I have a Glock 43 x 9mm and a Ruger GP 100 .357, 4” barrel.
I have diamond d outdoors chest rig for the .357. Would that scare the city folk too much?
Doing a couple boat tours and I think guns are a no go on the boats. Do they check packs and bags? Plan is to get dropped off and hike.

Have an HPG chest rig, any recommendations on a spray holsters for it?
Not really sure what to do
You can open carry in both Glacier and Yellowstone. I do it all the time with a chest rig on backcountry hikes or when I am walking rivers fly fishing. Just remember all ranger stations, visitor centers, etc are federal buildings and firearms are not allowed inside.

I also carry spray in the parks and I would much rather use that in any situation in the parks. Using the firearm would bring a world of pain with it, but worth it if truly life or death situation.
