New developments coming this summer

Am I the only one that thinks a pair of pants need, at most, 2 pockets? Like 2 zippered front pockets and I'm good.
IMHO like 2 hand pockets (no zipper) and 2 thigh pockets (zippered), I could care less about back pockets.

Daily I wear EB pro guide pants/shorts most of the time and I'm very used to that arrangement and greatly prefer it. I routinely have things in 3 of the 4 pockets and sometimes all 4. Nothing crazy but keeps any one pocket from being a junk drawer (phone, keys, money clip, ear buds, maybe a pen/pencil, etc. at various points in the day). I tend to carry forth the same mentality in my hunting pocket distribution though the items are different.

About the only things that make it in my front pockets hunting are elk calls, my hand-held release, maybe a phone (it usually just hangs in the belt pouch of my pack). Back pockets are idiotic on hunting pants, IMO

Same. I live in EB guide pro pants. I've tried quite a few similar, but always go back to my Eddies. About the only thing I'd change to make them perfect would be a 31" length.

When the were having zipper issues I was looking for an alternative but never found anything I liked. They went up a zipper size and things have been so far so good with the larger zipper pulls.

Yup. I lost a pair or 2 from zipper issues and have another 1 or 2 that have no zippers on the cargo pockets.

I agree that not much makes it into my front pockets other than a knife and the occasional little shit that we tend to carry around but back pockets (or at least one) are a must for me. I hate going from town to hunting and not having a back pocket for my wallet; but while in the field I like the option to be able to stick gloves or other items I might take with my out of my pack on a stalk or just in and out of the rig.

I wear 5.11 pants at work, and they have the double back pockets (a small on top of a standard) and I love the versatility to be able to have quick access to simple items.

I’m not buying pants if they don’t have back pockets.
I’m in the front, cargo and back pocket club, for hunting pants.
I may not always use them, but I’ve never understood limiting oneself of possible use in a utilitarian article of clothing.
It’s better to have them, when you don’t need them, than to need them and not have them. IMHO.

How wind resistant is the face fabric on the midlayer piece?
if its anything like the Sitka Ambient probably just OK...which is what the piece is designed to do (breath well). I'm really wanting to try it and hopefully can get it before I leave on Sept 21st...
I tried on a Sitka Ambient 75 hoody and really liked it, but I want to wait for this OV piece

@Brigham @ Outdoor Vitals If you want an upper middle-aged dad bod field tester feel free to send a prototype my way lol

It's definitely prioritized for breathability, not wind resistance. More wind resistance would mean less breathability, which would make this piece less effective as an active insulation piece, which is not what we wanted for this piece.

It's much less wind resistant than a typical ultralight windbreaker or windshirt. More wind resistant than a thin baselayer top or open knit fleece.

What’s the timeline looking like on releasing the pants?
Around the first week of September. We're still trying to coordinate a pre-order option that might be 1-2 weeks before that. If you haven't already, definitely sign up for the email list that is specific to this product line. That's how you'll know about the pre-order.

Would you mind providing a link to that email sign up? Appreciate it.
