Dude that nerd session was SO in order, nicely done. I really like getting a lot of that detail early. Reminds me of the early Kuiu days when Jason was putting it all out there. I also like the discussion on the goals, the why, the development, etc etc. Good pod!

The podcast was well done. One question I had that you may have answered but I missed is sizing on the puffy. Will it be sized to layer at our normal size, or will we need to “size up” when ordering?

Also, any plans for puffy pants to match?

Don't size-up for puffy. It will layer well in your standard size.

We do have some proto puffy pants from Brigham, which we will be testing more this fall.

I took out the latest prototype version of this pant yesterday on a training hike up a local mountain while wearing a 40 lb K4 pack. The integrated internal belt was absolutely awesome. I always wear a belt with whatever pants I’m using while wearing a pack, as pants always seem to sag down after a while from the lumbar pad. Not so with this design. The locking buckle on the internal belt did not slip at all.

Can you compare the pant fit to anything similar out there? Kutanas, Zions, etc? Are they pretty true to size/length?

Thanks for doing the podcast. Great info. I’m excited to try these out. The internal belt is very important me. One of the most important factors in a pant for me is that they hold their shape over 7 days. The pranas have always been a no go for me for this reason.

I took out the latest prototype version of this pant yesterday on a training hike up a local mountain while wearing a 40 lb K4 pack. The integrated internal belt was absolutely awesome. I always wear a belt with whatever pants I’m using while wearing a pack, as pants always seem to sag down after a while from the lumbar pad. Not so with this design. The locking buckle on the internal belt did not slip at all.

They look like the SG praxis. Been running them all season and they are perfect. Can't wait to try these. I'm sure a better price point too!

I also see you have the K4 holster. I've been running that as well and noticed recently the rigidity of that on the hip belt was actually causing the pack to "settle in" on my hips unevenly throughout the hike. Throws the whole pack out of balance eventually. Any one else notice this? Bomb proof holster but maybe a little too rigid for the flexy hip belt.

Anyone else wishing they were releasing the pants in the lightweight fabric that Steve mentioned people would be worried about the durability? I've been on the hunt for the lightest, most vented pant with integrated belt. I'm always shocked how few integrated belt pants there are on the market, even from brands that claim to be built for backcountry hunting. So far, the First Lite Trace has been the best I've found.

Do you mean the pistol holster? That’s not the EXO branded Ivory, as he won’t make a holster that will accept a light on the gun. It’s the Blackpoint Tactical Leather Mini Wing with Molle Clips. It’s seems to work pretty well with my 365 AXG w/ light.

Oh sweet. Maybe I will give that one a try. I have the ivory.
