Curious to what y’all’s thoughts are on the Tenacity X and the Proof MTR FDX.

Both of these have caught my eye, namely in a 6.5prc. I’m a bowhunter at heart and looking for my first big boy rifle.

I'd take a hard look at getting a Tikka in 6 Creed.

My first big boy real non Fudd stick was a 6.5 PRC. It worked really freaking good. But I had it in a 12lb rifle. I wanted a 6 Creed but I was still using Fudd logic that I needed energy on target vs impact velocity. Nothing wrong with the PRC but the extra .5 mm of bullet diameter isn't needed.

Pretty tough to beat just buying a factory Tikka and upgrading the stock. Putting a scope in it that'll hold zero.

Not worth it..

Buy a Tikka 6.5 PRC, cut and thread the barrel to your preferred length, and drop it in an MDT CRBN, McMillan Mountain Tracker LR, or UM RokStok. You’ll have a better rifle at 1/2 the cost.

If you don’t wanna diy a semi-custom Tikka, just buy a Seekins PH3 in 6.5 PRC 20”.
