New 1/2 ton truck

Are you saying Toyota has learned from their frame rust and leaf spring debacle?
There is an active thread on here asking about best way to address frame rust on a Tundra and I can certainly tell you Toyota hanged me out on the leaf springs.
My 2015 F150 just turned 192k on the 3.5 Eco that the 'experts' like to crap on and it has been fantastic. Same for the rest of the car including interior and accessories.
I would and will buy Ford again.
The E02 leaf spring recall? That’s an ancient recall that’s still active, literally had one in the shop last week. Unless you have aftermarket leaf spring packs we still replace those along with the bushings. I’m not sure how Toyota “hung you out to dry” without you telling me instead of being vague about it and not explaining it. The newest tundra that was under the rust perforation recall was 2005 or 2006 I believe and Tacoma was 2010. 20 years old from dates of production and first use for the newest of that model tundra. And 16 years for the newest of that model Tacoma. I’m not even sure what you’re getting at other than listening to yourself talk.

Nailed it.

Every Toyota thread we have to hear about 2006 Tacoma leaf springs and how great his 2015 F150 is.

I'm guessing he's a lot of fun at parties.

Next time you get one in the shop make sure to tell the owner that they should send a thank you card to "ol leaf spring man". After all, he and he alone is the reason that Toyota even issued that recall.

I'm not going to derail another thread other than to say if you've been reading these threads, you'd know they first told me a problem didn't exist (lie) then told me to go away (arrogant) then issued a recall across North America for some strange reason, then when I submitted a full set of receipts for reimbursement (per their instructions) they denied my reimbursement because I didn't have a dealer diagnose the problem originally(even though they had full documentation of my complaint). When I told them I would tell anyone and everyone about their complete failure to own up to their promise, they said 'go ahead, glazers will still buy our mediocre crap based upon peer pressure and desperation for an image' (okay that's not an actual quote but paraphrases the response).
Strangely, that's exactly what the glazers still do in spite of the facts.

You're welcome to resubmit the claim and use your influence to get them to do the right thing.

And never a mention of the transmission recalls for improper downshifting, the class action lawsuit on the cam phasers, and the well documented screen blackouts that required $3k replacements.

I’d look for a low mileage 2019-2021 Tundra, add a tranny cooler and call it good. Anything under 60-75k miles with good maintenance records and I’d be happy.
This ^^......everything out there 'new' is complete garbage, and I don't say that as a Toyota fanboi, the new Tundra is at the top of the list of total crap.

A '20-21 low miles Tundra is what I'd buy, actually it is what I did buy. I wouldn't spend a dime on anything else right now.
