Everyone is up in arms about this, for now. A few weeks from now and people will have moved on to the next topic of outrage. The list of “celebrity hunters” who have had similar issues is a mile long. But are they blacklisted? No.

Maybe they drop a few sponsors or release a statement. At the end of the day they’re still hunting and acting as a representative of hunters. Not enough people care for long enough to have any real effects. Look at the ones who rebrand themselves and continue the same stuff.

How do you find this?

Request it from the Utah DWR. The system to submit requests is called GRAMA.

You can also access the district court documents, where the criminal charges are detailed, by either going to a district court house or accessing them online via XChange (which will cost money to use).

Sounds like some sponsors aren’t very good at reading. In the emails it would be best to attach a copy of the criminal judgment.

Best thing we can all do is quit watching their content, stop following on social media, not click on their websites etc. If everyone rallied we could put people like this out of business. Its hard because even negative stories like this cause in increase in traffic to this dude's content.

What I find interesting is that we are talking about an offering of media that includes marginal long range hunting, hunting technology, trespassing, patterned unethical behavior, horrible role model behavior for future gens, sponsorship issues, government interpretations..and a lot more.

It just doesn’t feel positive at any point. The combination of issues is way past the tipping point. If he worked for me at any kind of company, he would have been fired long ago.
I personally would have turned myself in because I believe in protecting the sanctity of the natural world far beyond my singular personal “needs”.
We have to protect this resource in such volatile times from exposure like this.
I will be writing emails to sponsors, at the least.

Cue the outrage brigade whining about First Lite not doing enough to end a sponsorship with someone they don't even sponsor.. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Have I become to cynical?

Not sure why people though First Lite was a sponsor when Kryptek is listed on the site. But it’s weird that people say FL is shown a lot in videos when he’s sponsors by Kryptek? I haven’t watched any videos so I don’t know what it looks like.

Been keeping track of this thread for the past few days, didn’t even know who the guy was before hand.
On one hand, people make mistakes. I’ve screwed up plenty of times and I feel that you should be able to own up to your mistakes and move on in life.
That’s being said though, sounds like he did it twice on the same property! At that point it sounds like he might need a stronger message to learn the lesson. After watching his videos he’s really not who I’d want representing hunting. (Especially the antelope video, take responsibility for your own damn shot).
You mean, he got CAUGHT twice on the same property....

Thank you for your input. I respect your opinion and agree you make a valid point. I will however leave my grammar alone. It maybe good, bad or indifferent but it is mine. You can feel free to change it if you don't like it in the emails if you choose to send them.
Only thing I would change would be to direct them to the Utah DNR summary of judgement page and not this shit show of a thread.

I would guess most of the hunts this spring took part before the suspension was actually do to start; I thought I saw a start date of mid may 2019?

Thanks for reaching out to onX with your concerns. onX was built on a foundation of helping people know where they stand. As a company, we would absolutely never condone or support illegal trespassing or unethical hunting practices. Mr. Van Woerkom’s tenure as an official onX influencer has ended and presently, we are not working with him in any capacity.

Got this reply from OnX today.

I just read through this whole thread and the only questions I have is why do people wear a flat brimmed hat, and why in the heck do they wear it over there ears? Do they never look in the rearview mirror before they turn the camera on?

Just read the whole court doc.

What a joke. He filmed the entire hunt of him trespassing on a private ranch, that he had been caught trespassing on two years prior, and then the guy who caught him in person trespassing ends up watching the video on YouTube, recognizes him and immediately knew the entire hunt was on the ranch and then turns him in. How dumb and/or arrogant do you have to be to do that? LOL! I bet if he would've found the elk that it would've been all #PublicLand #OTC #DIY lolol.
