I agree some more ads could be happening for sure. To be fair, Dan Gates from CRWM has been a guest on a TON of podcasts getting the message out there. I do think a better job could be done to target the non hunting audience.
Ok…..So where’s all the financial donations going? Are we paying him to be on podcasts?
You would think there’d be some type of advertisements running, mailers going out, radio ads, something.

and we'll have a 3rd Rokcast episode with Dan launching about Oct 8th. Dan has worked his tail off, and HOWL too.

I'm only on Instagram and I'm seeing ads, posts, collabs almost every day. Today HOWL was in the top 30 of my scroll on two different posts, and neither were just fundraisers.

CRWM and Dan are almost a daily thing on there. I've about worn out our share button pushing both these orgs out since January

We've had Dan on the Rokcast twice and 3rd time is in next few weeks (@realunlucky maybe ask about the "...advertisements running, mailers going out, radio ads,).

He's been on all the really big name podcasts multiple times, Hanes, ME, and more.

I don't know about local Colorado ads though. That's where passionate guys like you and others on here can certainly help, (good on you @Bluumoon on the 1/2 page ads!!)

FWIW I have seen some social media ads from CRWM. Keep in mind that social media ads tend to be very targeted to certain locations/demographics, so many people won’t see any. I’m located in the front range.

I can’t speak to any network TV or streaming services ads as I don’t watch any.

I'm a front range resident as well, and not a social media user. I haven't seen anything about it outside of Rokslide from either side. Yard signs, billboards, flyers, mailers, people outside the grocery store...nada.

It feels like the strategy from the opposition is just to slip "ban trophy hunting" onto the ballot and let people go with their gut which will largely be "that sounds bad" and they'll vote yes.

Also feels like CRWM, HOWL, etc. are having trouble pushing the message outside of channels that would already vote no anyway. If the only people getting told to vote no are the people that already seek out hunting related media it doesn't seem like it will turn the tides much. I know social media and podcasts are the way of the world but this feels like a great issue for flyers on windshields and mailers in mailboxes.

Understood but they are effectively reaching our groups and getting them engaged.

would like to know how they're reaching those out of our groups. Dan is constantly saying "we can't just preach to the choir (hunters)" but that we do need to get them engaged, like the guys on this thread.

Didnt this just get certified to be on the ballot like two weeks ago?

If so, I would imagine that the ads will start ramping up. No sense in spending money to advertise for something that may not even happen. You also have ad fatigue in that if you advertise for too long, people tune it out. Dan has talked about needing the funding to secure ad time closer to election time.

All of you on the front range, I am sure that Dan wouldnt be opposed to some help placing those fliers.

Either way, I will be adding 50% to my monthly donation.

I get making the rounds and all the big podcasts, but do you think you would want to targeting the people that are going to be voting. He seems to be aware that preaching to the choir is only gonna get him so far so. Maybe I am under or over thinking it. 🤷‍♂️

I see the message as simply- everyone needs to contribute by informing those within thier circle of influence. If that happens, it'll definitely have a much greater impact than a commercial at 7 pm

Here’s what’s in the CO state ballot information booklet. View attachment 768582

I was glad to see the statements about science-based management in statement 1 for arguments against, but I wish they had also included that there is no current evidence to show that populations are decreasing under current management...hunters are not killing all the adorable kitties and the population is stable if not increasing already.

They've said they needed to wait for the initative number to be truly assigned (remember it was 91 before and now its 127 in final form) to truly target "NO ON 127" types of campaigns. In the meantime I've seen general stuff about supporting conservation and such popping up.

Here’s what’s in the CO state ballot information booklet.
I got mine today and was pleased at how this was all written up compared to the wolf fiasco. The wolf one was hardly any pushback in the write up in my opinion. In this one the argument for banning it comes off super weak in my opinion and the against argument seems well framed.

We know everyone's been waiting and wanting to hear an update. There has been a lot going on behind the scenes, trust us. Colorado's Wildlife Deserve Better will be putting out more communication very soon. To that end, there are already several actions you can take:

MEDIA PAGE: This page has downloadable and sharable information and more will be added. It is password protected (CWDB's call). Just message us and we can get you access.

LAWN SIGNS: If you are in Colorado, you will have the opportunity to pick these up at several locations. Points of contact and locations where to pick these up will be shared in the next week.

WATCH/SHARE: Blood Origin's Lionheart film.

BILLBOARDS/SIGNAGE/ADS: All of this will be going live. This is all targeted advertising, intentional and strategic in its placement and deployment.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Use HOWL's tool to send letters to the local newspapers around Colorado. These are an effective method.

We are definitely getting the word to the non-hunting community. What we need is help from the hunting community to reach those who don't hunt who live next door, go to the same church, bowl together on Friday nights, whatever/wherever. Those will be the impactful interactions. We've equipped you with the resources to be able to speak competently and confidently on the issues. We will be giving you more of that in the future. Paper advertising will also be forthcoming from CWDB.

Not that I have any idea how one goes about this, but what we really need is a story on CPR or something like that along the lines of "Another CO ballot measure that ignores science regarding wildlife management."

I really wish the "arguments against" said something along the lines of "Yes, they self-regulate. But they are self-regulating now WITH hunting and we have this big, stable population. Take away hunting and the population will grow. Human and pet encounters will increase, with negative consequences both for the cats and humans."

Who writes those things anyway? They dropped several balls.

Thank you for all you do. Keep us posted on all these items. I'll be glad to place some lawn signs. I have had meaningful discussions with multiple non hunter just this past weekend.
