All-

I was fortunate to be provided this chef knife set for review.

I have had this set for about 4 months and I can say with confidence these are the best chef knives I've ever used. One consideration-they are expensive! However, after much usage and seeing the benefits I can say it would be worth the investment.

They are scary sharp-I don't let my kids touch them. One mistake would be bad. Last night I used the largest knife to cube up muley quarters which my wife is canning today with the neighbor.

Between the 3 different blade styles, shapes and sizes, this set covers it all for us.

Has anyone else had a chance to work with these knives?

any links? was wondering if they're all for the kitchen or if they include a field set with it?

Been eyeballing a set but I am struggling to justify the price tag. I can buy a quality set of German Henckles or Wusthof knives for significantly less. These knives are approaching ans even passing the price of custom kitchen knives.

Is there anything specific with these knives you feel that they do better than high end mass produced knives or better than custom?

While I agree, after doing some math and thinking about it, we have a Wusthof set and the MKC are remarkably better. Do I think they'd sell a bunch more if the set was in the $7-800 range? Absolutely.

What makes it worthwhile for us is we are a large family that cooks and eats at home a lot. Our Wusthof set in only 2 years old and I'm over it. Time will tell with these, but I can always send back for free sharpening for life which is a plus.
