I brought 2 pairs of pants. That is unnecessary.Congrats! Great write-up.
I’m curious if there is anything you would have done differently. Were there things you brought that you didn’t need or things you wish you had brought?
I’m heading up there in 2 years and just trying to plan.
I do wish that I had taken a late season shell glove.
Wish I had taken a neck gaiter just a convenience when the wind and rain blew in.
Some guys brought a spotter, it was nice to have something but really the 10x42s were enough. Moose are yuuuuge.
The shooting sticks were cumbersome in the brush. There is definitely the place for them, the opportunity for shots over 300 is there. I would just pick and choose the times I carry them.
Good rain gear and rubber boots are a must.
I’m planning to drive next time. Just because I could bring my meat and head back with me. I got my euro a couple weeks ago b/c I sent it with some guys in camp and they drove it across the border, cleaned it up, then mailed it to me. I haven’t gotten my meat yet. Meat shipping was around $984 for 426lbs of meat. Processing fee was $578. So you can save that if you’re close enough to drive. Need a big cooler or several.
If you do fly allow for 3 hours at Toronto. Do not do less than that. Missed my flight there b/c customs missed my bag with ammo in it.
Sorry just saw these posts!
