I just joined Rockslide after searching for real life range reports on the MG Arms Ultralight Rifles. I did a quick search and didn't see anything, forgive me if its been covered.

I currently hunt with a super accurate McWhorter in 6.5 Weatherby. A beautiful rifle but I'm now looking for a custom lightweight.

I'm not crazy about the Forbes, The Proof Research at $6,000+ is way over priced, so I have found the MG Arms. I need a custom LOP, and want to stay with a custom build. I'm an accuracy snob, which doesn't always go along with "Lightweight".

There was one article in a magazine not to long ago on the MG, it was a strikingly beautiful rifle done in a black/dark grey "Zebra" pattern, stock and metal.

Anyway, if someone here has some first hand knowledge of these folks, I would love to hear it.

read the latest issue of "RECOIL" magazine - curious what you don't like about the NULA rifles ? LOP can be dealt with easily by any competent gunsmith along with adding a Limbsaver air coil pad - NOTHING works on accuracy any better than careful good reloading for THAT rifle and although not nearly so often with a custom ANY rifle can be a dud in the accuracy department, - as far as "accuracy" and "lightweight" not going together you should talk directly with Melvin Forbes, he's the only person that ever answers his shop phone
