For all those who hate MeatEater and feel he is bad for hunting, do you think the same of Eastman's Hunting?

What's the difference between the two?

For the record, I'm not a MeatEater lover or hater. As with most all things in life I'm in the middle.

I do love watching these threads blow up after posting a simple article though!

You know, it occurs to me no one ever complained (or used them in an anti- ad campaign) about the hundreds of books out there where guys hunted elephant and rhino and lion, etc. I wonder why that is? Maybe yet another lesson there somewhere…

How shortsighted. Has nothing to do with liking or disliking Meateater. It has to do with liking my rights more. Yep, they will grow. Because people refuse to send a message that violating their rights is more important than social media idolatry.

They don’t need my individual wallet. But if more people would send a message by closing theirs, maybe companies wouldn’t be so quick to disregard the customer base.

But just in case you are serious, and can’t sort this one out, I’ll help you.

My being here doesn’t help them anymore than my turning on channel five helps charmin sell toilet paper if I don’t buy that product. They can advertise all they want. My wallet will not open. So actually, their advertising dollars are falling on at least one set of deaf ears which while fractional, is a waste of some measure of advertising dollars.

I assume you've never turned on CNN, bought Levi jeans, been to an AMC theater, had an AT&T phone or internet, had Comcast internet or cable, flown Delta, shopped at Dicks Sporting Goods, bought through Ebay, used Paypal, had Geico or Progressive insurance, had a Microsoft product, watched anything under the NBC media umbrella, paid for something with a Square credit card reader, taken an Uber or Lyft, read a Yelp review, or bought from a store with a "no firearms allowed" sign on the door?

I feel like I am fairly well informed about Peter Chernin‘s political leanings and public statements about guns, but please feel free to further enlighten me on that and other topics you think are germane.

despite his politics, which I would note are considered near obligatory to hold some of the roles he has held, I still struggle to think that he dropped his LP investors‘ money into Meateater and is somehow seeking to adversely impact their business. Is it like some kind of buy it, and then run it into the ground thing? Buy it and shut it down, like catch and kill? Based on the fact that they keep spending to roll up other outdoor businesses and are approaching $100 million in revenue, neither strategy seems like it is working really well. Maybe my astonishing idiocy is flaring up and preventing me from seeing the big picture.

please help me amend my idiotic tendencies.

But not supporting a company or their subsidiaries that do good things for the hunting community because of some conspiracy theory that an investor is using revenue from those investments to push an anti-2A agenda that could ultimately harm their investment is a little too out there for me.

I have watched meat eater many times. Never owned first lite ever. I actually had the chance to at a discount when I was involved in the industry but chose to go a different route and this was before I knew the ins and outs. I'm honestly not mad at meat eater or rinella. What's astonishing is the uneducated half ass comments. If this room is a picture as to the attitude of our country we are in dire straights. And I'm not saying that to be a dick. We live in the age of education and information at our fingertips and the bewildering laziness in regards to educating one's selves on history and prior regimes strategies as to disarm its population is truly sickening to me.
