Finally got my barreled action put in today. Barrel channel seems pretty good and bottom metal fit well also. Now to get an optic on it and loads made up.
Desert banded carbon I believe. Thanks!Great looking paint. What’s it called?

I'm shooting them back to back today and its same same but different except I'm confirming that the rear control and reticle movement on the Mountain Tracker is better than the Rokstok thru recoil and reset and prep.
I have a couple thousand rounds on Rokstok and a couple hundred rounds on the McMillan.

I have 3 these Mtn tracker lr stocks, 3 more coming. They're great, available, custom options, will receive in quoated time line, no falling apart recoil pad, no shoddy inlet or finish, can get custom length of pull. You're getting what you pay for in these. The dimensions are really close between the 2 stocks. The McMillan is blockier and chunkier everywhere it can be.
It might just be the gritty paint that helps control the rear of the Tracker LR.
I ordered some of this to put on a Rokstok where my thumb and finger are grabbing.

Except I’m pretty sure we didn’t pay for off center barrel channels…. What a bummer. Has anybody contacted them to tell them it’s the same issue on most/many stocks with tight clearance on the left side?I have 3 these Mtn tracker lr stocks, 3 more coming. I guess I don't have a Tikka inlet, so haven't had that experience yet, everything else been really square. If you hold some right hand pressure on the action while tightening up the action screws does it remedy this?Except I’m pretty sure we didn’t pay for off center barrel channels…. What a bummer. Doesn’t work on mine, recoil lug to action fit is too tight to allow it.I guess I don't have a Tikka inlet, so haven't had that experience yet, everything else been really square. If you hold some right hand pressure on the action while tightening up the action screws does it remedy this?

I did this, but didn't make note of the differences. You could easily see that the barrel channel inlet was crooked just by looking at the stock from top down.I haven't done it, but it might be worthwhile for several of us to check the width of the stock material left on both sides of the forend in the same location as exact as we can. The inlet could be even and the recoil lug slightly turned. I'll try to measure mine tonight.

I just sent Lynne an email regarding the barrel channels. Sent a photo of mine as well as the link to this thread.Anyone talk to McMillan about this?
