McMillan Mountain Tracker LR

Did you shoot them prior to bedding? Any appreciable difference?

When I spoke with Josh he said bedding would be unnecessary
I have a McMillan game warden LR that was inletted for my kelbly action, and was planning on bedding it. Before I got around to bedding it, i shot a proven load with it. It'll shoot 10 round .6-.8" groups on demand without bedding. Needless to say I left it alone. I'm going to try the same load with the MT LR when it gets here to see if the same thing happens.

This one is for a Kelbly as well. Shot great in a chassis I had sitting around. Hoping it does as well in the McMillan without needing bedding

I'd be willing to bet you'll have similar results. From what I've seen so far McMillans inlet work is top notch and their stocks are very rigid.

Funny you mention a chassis, that's what I moved my kelbly barreled action back and forth between a XLR chassis and that stock and haven't had any negative effects on poi or accuracy.

They responded back that a m70 would not work. Gotta be a m700.

Even asked about doing Flat Top and doing the m70 myself. He said the geometry is off for a m70.

I am 18 months from moving back to the USA. Once I have an address where we will be, I'll get a couple on order. I would send them to my father's house, but my mom has dimensia and turns packages away regularly. They can't order much.

I did. They said roughly 2-3 months for the painted version an additional ~1-2 months for the exposed carbon or molded in colors.
Following up, got my shipping notice today. Just under 5 weeks from order date. Pretty impressed considering Christmas and new years were both in that 5 weeks. Looking forward to playing with it.

Can't remember, was yours carbon or paint?

Damn really? I ordered mine in November. They told me 3-6 months

Any updates on this? Been looking at either mentioned or a manners pro hunter for a 300 rum
I would measure the size of the recoil pad and pick the biggest one.

McMilland will probably not make a carbon fiber stock for a 300 Rum. They usually cap it at 300 Winchester. Might be worth a call.

Painted. Originally it was the free paint, changed it last week to the HEC sage
Well, looks like my note to switch to HEC wasn’t captured at the paint booth (still got charged for it).

They are going to repaint so looking at another 2-3 weeks. No biggie, stuff happens. Glad it was caught before it went out today.

Looks great, just not the one I want.

Manners pro hunter it is. Be interesting to see how it shoots compared to a traditional stock.

Yep. No biggie
Same exact thing happened to me on my last one.
I changed from black to a premium paint in the middle of the wait period.
Josh called me when it was getting ready to ship out and told me it got missed. It didn't really take that long though to actually get it repainted and shipped.

Although I think it added a little bit of weight, curious if that will be the case on yours as well. Will you post finished weight when you get yours?

Yeah that’s what happened with mine as well.

I had the same concerns. Josh said it was going to be sanded down and then reprimed and painted. Hoping it doesn’t add much weight

I’ll post the weight when it comes in
