McMillan Mountain Tracker LR

I finally got my RS1.2 mounted in Sportsmatch rings and shot the setup today(this is on Mountain Tracker LR). I didn't like the ring height, going to order Medium rings and see how I like it.

On my Game Warden LR, the Sportsmatch/SWFA 3-9 combo was perfect.

I got my Mountain Tracker a couple weeks ago. Have had it out a couple times.

As others on here have noted the barrel channel is not quite straight. Seems like it's a hair thicker on the left side. It is not really a problem if you order a larger channel than what is called for with your barrel. The recoil lug appeared to be permanently glued to the stock.

First time out to the range, it had some windage slop. Shooting a 2 MOA left to right group, from prone over pack position with 140 ELDM factory load. I bedded behind the recoil lug and the tang area with JB Weld to tighten the group up to 1.25 MOA on my next visit to the range.

Compared to the Peak44 Bastion, I think the Mountain Tracker LR is the better option. The standard 13.5" LOP is a better fit for me on the Mountain Tracker, Peak44 seems slightly short and it's 3d-printed recoil pad is pretty bad. The recoil pad is much better on the Mountain Tracker. The standard arca plate at the center of gravity on the Mountain Tracker works better than the add-on foreend arca plate on Peak44.
