A wall along komifornia is what we need, keep those people from polluting America further. That place is plain crazy, I was there in May. It’s like a different planet.

Not all of California is a liberal coastal city. In fact, we grow the majority of the food for the rest of the US, and generate a heap of federal tax dollars, which is distributed to every other state. I'd check your fridge before saying you won't support California.

Does it not concern anyone that the NRA was used to funnel money from a foreign enemy to influence elections in a democratic country? I wouldn't define that action as terroristic, but it doesn't seem like protecting your right to own a firearm is their priority. Just ask Wayne LaPierre how he thinks the NRA should use its funding ;)

I don't think this state is infallible, or is a paradise either, but hating on other citizens for living in the area they do, isn't far off from things like racism or xenophobia. American's aren't supposed to be identical in thoughts or values, but there are still many things we can share in common.

edit: yeah, I'm californian.

I think some are missing the point here. It's not that we all love the NRA and have to defend it vehemently. This is just another tip of a slippery slope lefty wackos love to slide down. It will eventually get to a point where anyone who is registered republican, registered gun owner, christian, etc will be on some kind of list and targeted in these areas. Bury your head in the sand if you want. States don't split, never have, never will. Oregon and Washington are right behind Queerlifornia. Lived in SD and SF for a year each and Oregon all my life, I have seen it all, the whole progression of insanity.

Unfortunately its a fact the progressive liberals whackos moving out of California the past 20 years have ruined Washington, Oregon and now Montana, Colorado and soon Idaho with their anti gun , tax and regulate everything, embracing uncontrolled open borders immigration, and anti hunting politics

what a shame and I used to live in California in the 80's before it was ruined.

BTW the midwestern and southern states grow a lot of food too and feed the world. Typical egocentric attitude that only California grows food.

Not surprised you had to add the typical passive aggressive xenophobic and racism labels. Very typical

Thanks for the reply!

I didn't say that California produces all of the food, but the majority, when compared to other states. I'm sure the OP could survive on strictly midwestern grown foods, if he desired. I was just pointing out, that saying he won't touch anything Californian will be more of a challenge than it sounds. Hell, I'd rather everyone grow their own food, and not rely on industrial agriculture!

Yes, I made a slippery slope argument about viewing groups of people. It wasn't really passive aggressive, just an opinion.

How do you feel about the NRA taking Russian cash? Do you think the Russians want to protect your 2A?

Cheers!

My understanding is that the money in question was a $1000 payment for a Life Membership from a single individual who happens to be from Russia. I have no problems with anyone wanting to join the NRA, if they choose too and one of my son's coach's was a Russian. Good guy. His son just signed to wrestle for Ohio State. "Russian cash" is just a soundbite.

Relative to boycotting California products, it is about sales and income taxes for me. The less revenue to California based companies, the less revenue the State receives. It isn't rocket science. Toyo tires distributes out of CA. I will buy Cooper. Google is out of CA. I won't be buying their Pixel phone and I am going to start using Bing for my searches. I am surrounded by Texas, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa. I am not going to starve anytime soon. Will the process be perfect? No, but it really isn't that difficult for me and its more about the principal than the results. I live a pretty simple lifestyle.

EDIT: The banana's I got at Walmart yesterday for $18 cents a lb are from Costa Rica. My Great Value milk was $1.38 a gallon and most of that is sourced from Dean Foods in Texas. I am batting a 1000 this week.

The Clinton administration had the FBI obtain a membership list of the NRA and put all members on a watchlist.

To my knowledge, there was no sunset placed on that order.

Thanks to NAFTA, less expensive foreign produce is cheaper to ship to the breadbasket. The majority of California produce goes overseas.
The worlds 5th largest economy will not be hurt in the least if you choose not to buy a couple items or dare venture into any of the tourist locations.

The $ that subsidizes cheap corn, wheat and beef could be put to better use on infrastructure, or just paying down the debt.
Funny your high horse still fits in walmart parking lots given their new opinion on firearms and ammunition, I guess cheap & convenience outweighs moral convictions.

Born and raised in NorCal, and having nothing to compare it to, I think I had a pretty good childhood back in the '70's. That said, I left as soon as I could (20 years old), and never went back (to live that is). I do think that the state has a lot going for it, but politically, it is a f*****g disaster, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Interesting the millions of illegal aliens in California ( free healthcare, free education, free food stamps, fed prisons that house thousands of violent illegal alien criminals) are subsidized by the US tax payer

You ag system in California is an ecological nightmare and you take water and energy from other states to make your heavily subsidized economy to work

No one can argue the biggest threat to freedom and democracy , human rights in the world now is the big tech companies in California

I bet all hunting and firearms ownership will be banned within 10 years in California

Certainly not something to brag about on a hunting forum.

Real shame the Kalifornia facist liberal progressive disease is ruining states out west.

Born and raised here for nearly 52 years. Nothing this state does is shocking any longer. But it still pisses me off to no end. My only solace is I won't die here.

States have split: WV and VA, over the issue of joining the Confederacy.

It could happen, but it would likely take events on the order of the Civil War to do it... be careful what you wish for.

I live in Arkansas and have no problem shopping at Walmart. I have never bought a gun at Walmart and I reload my own ammo but as of yesterday, I could buy a box of Remington 30-06 for under $13.00. When it comes to food and daily shopping, cheap and convenient is very important to me and I will buy milk all day long at $1.38 a gallon. What do you pay? Regardless, Walmart is headquartered in Bentonville, AR and there really isn't another name grocery store chain in the area. I am glad you like paying more. It helps the economy.

I don't own a horse. I drive a Chevy Colorado ZR2 diesel with front and rear locking differential but it is lifted 2 inches.

It isn't about moral convictions at all and I thought I was pretty clear that I didn't expect it to have any economic impact but I get to choose where I spend my money. I assume you don't belong to the NRA or you don't mind being called a terrorist. Either way, good for you.

My wife and daughter wanted to go to Universal Studios in CA next year. We cancelled it. Florida has one too. Can't get any easier than that.

Sure bud too bad you have no idea about reality except some extreme right wing talking points.

1-California sends more money to the feds than it receives, your welcome.

2-We get no water from other states all the water used in ag comes from the Sacramento river and its tributaries and is sent via aqueduct south to farms in the San Joaquin valley. It is far from perfect and is 1950s tech, and as a resident who is involved with saving our salmon and waterfowl that are harmed by this water conveyance I think I might know a thing or 2 more than you.( btw- trump is making the problem worse by guaranteeing water delivery to southern farms despite scientific evidence that it will be irrevocably harmful)
- can you show your work and point on a map where 1 drop of water comes from oregon or nevada besides the colorado river which runs through Ca?

3- Name an energy subsidie ca received from other states?( dont use google to look it up, they'll steal your guns) subsidies typically come from the federal government.

The only way it happens is if Puerto rico is given statehood. Nor cal would swing right and pr goes hard left

or ……………. if kuiu values the hunting tradition it is founded on, maybe they might consider relocating to a state that actually approves of them.

The owner was from Dixon and played football there in High School and nearby in college at UC Davis. He is now deceased and I have no idea who runs the business, but my guess of why they were there and still are is the owners connection to his small home town.

I buy produce from local ranches, eggs and honey too.
Protein I hunt and fish and supplement with beef and chicken from a ranch 25 miles away, not a stock yard. I gave up the ecological and economic damage of mega stores for a more direct approach.

But that has no bearing on this thread, I was pointing out the hypocrisy of the poster I quoted who won't visit a state based on the declaration of a city council(meaningless) but will shop at a mega outlet who is starting to lean left by restricting the sale of guns and ammo(much more far reaching)
