It’s been a troll nothing 100% serious from the beginning cult comment.
Some truth though. But a scope is used to view. Aiming requires a line of sight. Which requires viewing.

I do know there are people that use a scope to scan their surrounding and use it like a spotter or Binos but not myself. I’ve been flagged enough down south to know better.

But you busted me. As mentioned. I don’t really care one way or the other. Have fun. Try to make people laugh. If they get upset…well, then they may need some edibles.

So…viewing your target is only for Binos and spotters? Hmmmm…pretty sure when I look in my scope I see a target…

Because I’ve used my Binos or naked eye to identify the object before hand.

You must hang out with Form. Cult. Viewing. Etc…
Whats the main job of a scope? Ive never met Form but I do relate with the common sense crowd, unfortunately it doesn't look like we have room for you

If you’re just here to troll, that’s cool man. Some of us are here to actually learn something, or help someone else out based on our experiences. Most of us on here are pretty serous about our sport, and take it seriously. If you’ve got time to stir the pot just for the heck of it, good on ya.

now…what if a leupold is mounted on a tikka. Does the tikka’s perfection cancel out the leupold’s discrepancies?

Asking for us not cult memebers.

My experience says no.

Even the mighty tikka wasn't enough to overcome the curse of the golden ring.

Your mileage could vary, especially if you don't measure it, and assume.

not anti-anyone.....i read Form's drop tests and he at least convinced me enough to purchase 2 NF scopes to try out....not chump change, however I'm still good with using my Leupolds for my "hunting" uses while I try out these NF scopes.....if I was a competitor or shooting animals or even paper at long yardages regularly maybe that would yield a different thought. Until I get a Leupold that actually does fail me, like others say they have experienced, I will continue to use them. Perhaps if other RS members stop trashing those that like Leupolds we would not be having this go on at all. We can like and use different things based on individual needs/uses w/o the bash fest.

One of my friends pulled out his rifle to check it quick before heading to the hunting camp. Prior to Friday It had been in the safe for 2 weeks since its last range use. It shifted enough to miss a deer at 100 yards. His leupold will be for sale as soon as he choose a replacement.

I have a low use Leupold if anyone is interested in it.

Pulled it off a gun a dozen years ago. Glass looks perfect, can't exactly remember why I took it off now, guess my memory is just fading. Been sitting on a shelf.

lol I had exactly the same thought. This coming from the side of the argument that’s been calling everyone cult members for engaging in testing of their own gear and sharing/trusting empirical evidence

I think that would only prove that it was off. It wouldn't prove how it happened.

If it was on “two weeks prior” according to the OP, then went into a safe. Then came out, and was off that significantly, that’s a very untrustworthy piece of gear. OP mentioned no drops, falls, ect. So logically, it moved from riding in a gun case to the mountains. Which matches up with LOTS of other people’s experiences. Including my own.

Maybe a ghost accessed the safe and spun some knobs just for fun though…who knows.

Some of us have had no issues with ours, so logically there is something else going on.

The LOGIC is pretty darn simple. As myself and many others have stated from the very beginning of this thread. not ALL Leupold scopes have a problem. There are duds and studs. If you’ve got a good one, by all means, use it! They’re perfect hunting scopes on paper. Have been my favorite to use by far. But many people have had duds. And therefore will never trust them again, and are happy to share our results with others to potentially save them some of the pain we’ve experienced.

When somebody who’s had a good one reads threads like this, they tend to get hot under the collar, having never experienced something like it.

Good luck to you man, I genuinely hope yours continues to track and never costs you an animal. I wish I’d had the same experience

bmart and jake...i did not say in any way there was a Form cult, only responding to Yukon's post referencing such cult...."that now he did it, he will upset said cult. I fully understand what Form is presenting to the RS crowd..it's just info that any one of us can utilize in whatever manner they choose. I've chosen to use it to try NF scopes out and see what is what. I wouldn't have done that if I thought he was full of crap or biased in any way and the data wasn't factual. I like to try things for myself before im in the "hell yeah" camp.

Just to clarify. He does not beat on his gear. He takes pretty good care of it. We are both too poor to buy stuff and not take good care of it. He does not even know rokslide exists and knows nothing of drop tests.
