If you could move and live anywhere in the lower 48 where would you go?

I've lived in Alaska for most of my life, and the Winters are getting a bit harder on me. But my wife who has been here all her life won't go anywhere else so I'm not going anywhere. I would go back to north Central Idaho if I did move. I have family in the Lewiston Clarkston area where I was born.

North Carolina or Tennessee!

Can't beat the Carolinas! You can be skiing on Sugar Mountain at lunch and be in Charleston, SC eating shrimp and grits by supper time.

My family has been in VA since colonial times and I have no intention of leaving. I prefer VA to any state in the east but love the Rockies. A second home in western CO, or maybe WY would be my dream location.

We should all “Throw a dart at a map” and then move to Roseberg, OR. Fill the public lands and be free.

West Slope of CO when it becomes its own state someday..fingers crossed.

Based off that answer, Northeast California when it becomes its own state and gives back bear hunting with hounds, lion hunting and wolf hunting become legal, and they quit sending water to SoCal.

Until then back up to the Sandhills or at least Western Nebraska. The wife doesn't want to live more than an hour from her folks though. I'd move back to Elko county Nevada in a heartbeat too
