Idaho Files Criminal Complaint Against Ryan Lampers Over Trophy Deer, Lion, and Wolf Cases

Definitely and grittys films are the best I have seen.
Not a fanboy of anyone but i will give him that, how he narrates and tells the story.
I used to really like his and Lampers stuff but I quit watching when his buddy got popped for poaching. All I will watch now is the newer guys with no sponsors and admittedly crappy production. Once people start trying to sell me the 'best boots, rifle, tent' they go into the influencer bucket and I won't watch any more.

I find it hard to believe if these accusations are true that this is Lampers first foray into poaching. Right or wrong I have to assume Gritty knew and was either complacent or involved in some others.

Didn’t gritty (and maybe lampers) get in trouble for not possessing a special use permit for filming on public land? I seem to recall that a few years ago.

Folks profiting off public land via their videos *without permits* is one of my pet peeves.

State and Federal agencies will never have the capacity to effectively enforce those regulations but it seems like a golden opportunity to curtail some of the “influencer” related pressure we see.

In my opinion, these are the guys that should get the stiffest penalties. If your neighbor gets life in prison for poaching a deer, how many people really hear about it? But if some influencer gets popped with a big penalty/sentence for poaching or law-breaking, there are a lot more people that are going to see it and think that maybe there actually is a penalty for breaking the law.

Really? To video... I don't think we need more permits for $ht

I don’t disagree. Government bureaucracy is ridiculous.

Problem is everyone else operating commercially on most public land functions under a regulated permit system (grazing, guiding for hunting, fishing, horseback riding, skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, dogsledding, film projects etc.).

My point and pipe dream is a YouTube creator selling a “content” on public land should be held to the same kind of standard.
