I haven’t read this entire thread so I apologize if someone else has said this already. I get the thought behind seeking alternative energy sources. What I don’t get is that the singular focal point always ends up involving the demonization of it’s use relative to transportation. Almost everything we touch on a daily basis is derived from petrochemicals, and I don’t think that is going away. We missed the boat and should’ve been building a substantial and robust natural gas infrastructure. It’s clean enough to flare and waste rather than harness as cheap energy??? Missed that boat in my opinion. Anyone seen the lithium mines??? But a pipeline is a no go…. SMH. Not to mention, where will all of these batteries go when they are no longer useful? Recycle or landfills? Lots of things look good on paper….
probably the same place all the wind turbine arms go, buried in the ground

Well, we hit $5 a gallon in salt lake city finally. It's changing my driving habits and will change my voting too.

Dude, most cars bought today can be remotely locked, unlocked, started and tracked.

But yeah, I see your point, once the lizard people who control the Jewish space lasers get control of the electric cars, we’ll all have to bow down.

JJJ: onstar, turn my damn car back on!
onstar: Oh shucks! I didn't realize this was a gas powered car. Vehicle re-enabled!

@307 It was hilarious last Christmas travel season watching the line of teslas and smart cars wait for 4-5 hours to charge up halfway through their 8 hour, 500 mile road trip down I-5. Not enough charge stations to meet demand at peak times.

CA has actually been getting coal power for their “clean energy” with an epa waiver on emissions - aka we are getting dirty coal power for the fake lib fantasy of going green.

Speaking of things the gov messes up. How bout that high speed bullet train to nowhere?? Good ole CA and their ostrich voters. Id love to see any election in CA audited btw…..
We have a customer that comes into our store that owns a Tesla , he lives 70miles away and during the winter he can not make a round trip on a single charge . So he has to charge it for a 1.5 hrs in order to make it back home . Lol

Jumped 2 cents today in cache valley to 5.01.

At this point gas stations should just say **** it, put the price at 7 bucks a gallon and not have to change it for a couple days.

half million more charging stations to be constructed/5 billion dollars.

(usa today)

WASHINGTON – The Biden administration will take another step in its campaign to transition more Americans to electric vehicles on Thursday when it releases proposed standards for a network of charging stations across the country.

President Joe Biden has pledged to have 500,000 public charging stations for electric vehicles in place by 2030. The administration is providing more than $5 billion to states over the next five years to build a network of charging stations along the nation’s interstates.

The proposed standards, which will be published next week in the Federal Register, dictate that a charging station be located every 50 miles along the interstate and no more than a mile off the highway. Stations would be required to maintain a minimum number and type of chargers capable of serving multiple customers.

I was wrong gas is going up so fast around here just figure $5 plus a gallon for gas and diesel is $5.60 every few days it goes up.
I really don't know how all these people are traveling around here? The out of staters that are here for the summer already and what they are driving. Figure it's a $100 a trip to the nearest big town for us. We only go every 3 months or so thank goodness.
