Against how much investment? Total profit means nothing. Oil companies typically run about 10% profit from when I've looked in years past. Now, if they are making 30% now, that would be a different story.

Don’t forget when he told the nation he was going to turn Saudi Arabia into a “pariah” for the assassination of a Jamal Khashoggi.
Because it doesn’t appear the Saudi’s have forgotten. Now two years later here we are, nobody gives a rat’s rear end about ole Jamal, and they have biden begging for relief .
Tangent here, but did you see “The Dissident“ about Jamal Khahoggi? I’m assuming you have but definitely worth a watch If not.

Prices here in Billings MT jumped to 4.59 after the holiday weekend, up 30 cents. I dont get how the lower/lower middle class is surviving...

6.90 to 7.20 for diesel depending on the station in my part of Central California. 100 dollars gave me a shade under 3/4 of a tank this morning. This shit is outta control.

And your gas tax is going up next month. I am cringing thinking about taking may family to the coast this summer.

I dont look at the price i just fill up.pay and leave bitching about prices isnt going to change it
That's the interesting point though. Lets assume that you watch your cash flow and now going about your business ends up your checking account starts going down month to month and not stagnant or up...then a car repair or a home repair and you have to start giving up comforts in life. That is where people go from bitching/not bitching to acting. The acting will be misdirected and that is what i am afraid of in the nation right now...what will acting cause as a reaction?

Always plan for the unexpected never get comfortable with the price of something because as everyone is learning its changes extremely quickly
What ever you think it might cost. Double it

President Joe Biden authorized the Defense Production Act to spur US manufacturing of solar and several other forms of clean energy, the White House announced Monday.

Biden authorized the Energy Department to use the DPA to speed up domestic manufacturing of solar panel components, energy-efficient heat pumps, building insulation, electric transformers needed for the power grid and equipment like electrolyzers and fuel cells. The White House also announced it will leverage the power of the federal government’s purse for clean energy, using federal procurement to increase US solar manufacturing.

As gas prices hit an all-time high this week, MSNBC parroted White House talking points lecturing Americans to buy more electric cars.

The MSNBC host agreed that green energy wouldn’t help us in this current crisis, but she called it "crazy" that we rely on foreign oil instead of using green energy.

"You know, It might not help anything in the immediate future going green, but isn't this — is this to you another indication that this is just crazy that we're still reliant on this product that we have to get, from—even if you had to get it from an ally, you have to get it from somebody else, and we need it here. It's a national security issue," Tur argued.

Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., on Tuesday bragged about buying an expensive electric vehicle amid a global semiconductor chip shortage and being able to bypass historically high gas prices on her road trip to Washington, D.C.

it’s amazing how anyone buys the green energy/electric car scam.
Where do people think the raw materials come from for an electric car? Strip mines all over the earth. Many in enemy territory.
Charged by coal. But it’s clean!

Electric cars can and will be shut off remotely when you don’t behave.
Also, the grid already has failures under normal load. Imagine all these fed cars being charged? They’ll be given precedence in the electric grid over the degenerate oil consuming Households.
