How many rounds do you take with you on a hunt? Whether it’s pack in or day trip, and how do you carry them?

3-4 typically in the past

Now that I use stock packs, I carry 10 just because I can. Weight doesn’t bother me.

10 in an ammo wallet on my belt or in pack lid. Might keep an extra 3 in the pack lid or a box in the truck if I happen to lose the ammo wallet.

Generally, 4 in the gun, 5 in the harness, 5 in the pack. That might increase by 5 if I’m going in for multiple days. I never want to need more than 1, but things happen.

Two 10 round mags. I haven't lost a mag (forever) yet, but I've had to retrieve a couple. I am always hoping to see a pack of wolves, and I don't want lack of ammo to be what stops my shooting, I can dream.

3 rnd mag in gun, 3 rnd mag lives in hip belt pocket on hunting pack. If a multi-day trip perhaps an extra 3 in pack. Have only broken into the second mag (or equivalent # of shots) once in almost 40 years of hunting.

Full mag (4) few in the harness (3), 10 more in pack lid, I am not sure what I will bring muzzy hunting, I’m thinking 6/7 rounds?

I carry 4 in the mag and 5 more in my bino harness. Sometimes there’s a couple more in my pack, in case stuff gets real western. But that hasn’t happened since I was about 14 years old.
"real western" Ha!
