How Many Rounds?

Cole tac makes a 40 ct wallet. So I fill one of those. In the field I have 3 in the mag, 2 on the rifle and 3 more in my bino harness.

13 in the field (3 in magazine, 10 in ammo wallet). 20 at the truck. Hopefully I'm only bring 1 less back.

Out of state or country , things happen. I see a need to bring 50 reloads on a trip. Gun falls, scope craps just name a few. If you have to repair or replace something always nice to have enough to re sight in . I see no need to carry a bunch of you shoot over the counter ammo and there are stores near by but if your 50 miles in.kind of hard to drive to the store.

Truth here. I had a Wyoming 2 antelope hunt back when I only shot reloads. I also had what I thought was a nice vortex PST scope riding in a padded rifle case under the back seat. Lesson learned there too. Shit happens and extra ammo is cheap insurance that provides options. So does a backup rifle but I don't often bring one. I do when the conditions call for it.

So this accounts for worst case scenario of poor shooting on everything and 10 extras for any sight checking if needed. Have never needed even 1n + 10, but better to have and not need than...
