Well guys. I'm amazed at how many have made the 40 plus years mark. Congratulations to everyone.
We've been married 41 years now.
We're going to have to stay together because I'm not breaking another one in! LOL
We're both the same age and no family now so we depend on each other step for step. It's been one hell of a ride and I'd do it all over again if I could.

Met my beautiful wife over 40 years ago. And got married 4 months later. We bought the property we just sold to our daughter n built our home within 3 months of meeting her.
And have never gotten into a bad fight.
There is no way I could ever say or do anything that would hurt her feelings. Still open her door n put my arm around her. Kinda get to reach down n get a little squeeze in once in a while to.

50 years on April 4.
6 kids
19 grandkids

We're all doing a cruise in the Mediterranean next fall to celebrate.

At 71, I find an incredible richness in my life that comes from my marriage and from our terrific kids and grandkids. I have been blessed way beyond what I deserve!230402 The family .jpg

My first marriage I married my HS sweetheart , after being a drunken fool for 15 years , it lasted fifteen years , then she met her soulmate , dammit ! LOL She helped her dad move to Florida , met some guy and came home without her ring , filed for divorce and moved to Florida .
Divorced at 50 , but her daughter stayed with me , she was 18 and going to college locally .
Best thing that ever happened to me . I stayed positive , joined some dating sites , and met my current wife online .
She's four years younger than I , but she's everything my first wife was lacking , she makes me a better person .
We have been married for 11.5 years , it's been wonderful .
Oh , and I'm 64 going on 21 , LOL
This is us at my stepdaughter's wedding , I performed the service .

Got hitched in 1968, 10 days before heading to VietNam. In 2 months it will be 55 years, still hunts with me and the grandkids every year.

How long you guys (gals) been married?

My wife and I celebrated our 41st anniversary last October (when I was a teen I said I'll never get married during hunting season :ROFLMAO:). In addition my wife, she's my best friend who I've shared so many wonderful adventures!

Just prior to our last anniversary, I asked her if I should make reservations to our favorite "fancy" restaurant? She said "can't we just go backpacking instead"? "Ahhhhh sure" :D

We brought a couple of bacon wrapped fillets, a tin foil pack of seasoned small potatoes, a bag o' salad/dressing and a couple of cold beers- it was a good or better meal that would have gotten at any restaurant for sure.

My best friend through thick and thin!

43 years in August. Best advice I was ever given was when my dad told me as a teen that if you’re true lt interested in a female get to know her parents. That usually goes a long way toward exposing how she was raised, family values, patience, etc, etc. her parents were married for 65 years when her mother died. I hunted and fished with her dad and loved her parents as my own. Sometimes parents can make or break a marriage. I’ve been blessed beyond my dreams in my marriage. My wife has been there for me At every crook in the road and many of those were times I didn’t deserve it. We have both taken our marriage vows very seriously and knew from the beginning that we were in it for the long haul. I think the key to a good marriage is the word cherish and the commitment to it. I cherish my wife and her action/reactions prove that she feels the same.

Been together for 20 years, married for 12. My parents are celebrating their 50th anniversary this Summer and my wife's parents are celebrating 50 years next year. Her grandparents just celebrated their 65th anniversary last year.

Raise your kids right folks, stay dedicated and motivated!

Love reading these stories! 33 years for us, good times and bad but I couldn't even imagine someone better to spend life with. She puts up with my shit, can't ask for much more than that.

1 grandson and 1 knocking on the door, future hunting buddies!

This is a great thread. I’m not an old timer, but I’m working on it. Married for 18 years. The best thing that I ever did…
