What do you where on your head when you are hiking? If i wear a ball cap or a beanie when its even moderately warm out my head sweats and whatever I'm wearing is wet. Anyone have a good option for this? Was thinking a bandana or something for when I'm actively hiking. Anyone have suggestions here?

Buzz haircut. I'm always wearing a ball cap and work outside. Its a great start but a mesh back hat or a thin nylon or polyester hat.

$0.99 bandana is your friend. Even with a buzz cut on a receding hairline, I sweat along while hiking. Did 5.8 miles this AM with a 30 lbs pack.........bandana works wonders....cheap and effective.

Bandana.

Bring 2 and switch them out. Very versitile with dozens of uses.

And chicks dig them too.

I don't wear anything on my head when I'm hiking. Anything on my head causes me to get hot. I don't care how cold it is, I'm not wearing anything on my head and wearing a short sleeve shirt.

I wear a quick-dry full-brim hat by Outdoor Research or something similar. As much as I don't like wearing hats, the sun takes its toll on me if I don't wear a hat.

Depends on what I'm doing, but I'll wear a boonie hat or a mesh backed trucker hat. If I'm really worried about sun I'll drape a bandana over my head with the trucker hat over it... the bandana drapes down my neck and part of the side of my face to keep the sun at bay.

I cant stop the sweat, so I just embrace it. Drink lots of water and if my hat gets soaked it gets soaked.. no worries!

Just a ball cap. I live in NC and wear a hat all the time anyway. I'm used to sweating so it no big deal. I have a under armor hat that I'm wearing now that I like. It is not a typical cotton hat that takes for. Ever to dry. I've been wearing that when it's hot. I've been throwing the idea of one of those Kuiu quick dry boonie hats to keep the sun off my neck.
